Defining a unit via script

I have a unit that I placed in the map editor, and I was wondering how to tie them into a script such as...

Player_Array =
[
  [P1,P2,P3,P4,P5,P6],
  [P7,P8,P9,P10,P11,P12]
];

The names of the units being P1...P12. Also how to removeWeapons (for example) from a specific using the select command.
