Voice Acting has got to go.

I know some of the audio chatter is our very own Bohimia Creative Director but come on please tell me the voices are getting replaced by actors. The infantry comms sounds like it Duke Nukem and ana over forced amercian actor, they need to get in the filed and record some real voices and order. #Alpha I know hopefully the audio will get looked at.:yay:

On the contrary. I hope Jay Crowe fully voices every command and it will be available as one of voice sets.

The problem I currently have with alpha which hopefully will get finished soonTM is that the commander and grunt have different voices. I hope this won't take until summer for them both to get their respective commander/grunt halves.

I thought they were a big improvement over ArmA 2, so I hope they keep using these.

Its the over Macho element it does not sound right, I had a stint with 4 para and they shout like they f* mean it not all macho like they have cigar in there mouths and spitting. Kills the immersion for me.

Yeah don't like radio chat either. It gets annoying in a while but at least you can mute it.

The primary voice used does tend to sound a little weird to me. It is very macho, much preferred the way it sounded in A2. However actual statements that AI make sound much more natural than they did in A2 which I like a lot. It is very smooth.

I'm not particularly crazy about "wilco" being used either, it just sounds really weird hearing it. I liked "Oscar mike" and "copy" a lot more haha. Not a major deal though, I will get used to it I guess.

I like them. Last time I checked not every single person on this word ( especially armed forces guys) have Hollywood hand picked style voices.

The first thing I did was to play the Infantry showcase and i was impressed.

They are awesome compared to previous games.

I, for one, still prefer the old OFP version. "BMP, 200 meters NORTH EAST"

I personally don't mind Jay's voice, it's funny to go "Hey, I know who that is."

Like Iroquois said, this is the best radio chatter we have had to date, and I seriously don't mind it. You can just turn it off if it bothers you that much. I would ask though that the only improvement they make is saying for instance;

"There is a man, 4 o'clock, 300m away."

versus what we currently have which is

"Man, 4 o'clock, 300m."

Making it sound more natural and like full sentences would be nice.

ARMA 3 voices are significant improvement, how soon we forget ARMA 2.

In my opinion, the voice acting and radio chatter has been significantly improved to be honest. I don't see the issue here when looking at it from a comparative perspective.
