progamer 14 Posted November 8, 2013 Is this mod intended to be an expansion mod like the FFAA mod having the Spanish Army? Will we see any Canadian ships, tanks, and planes? ---------- Post added at 06:50 ---------- Previous post was at 06:46 ---------- Is the intent of the mod to create a realistic representation Canada's militery? ohally 26 Posted November 19, 2013 Here's some shots of the Griffon in it's current state. It's about 90% ready for first release. The Griffon will come in 2 configurations at first:1. CH-146 (SF) A variant designed for use with small JTF2 or CSOR teams of 6. Seating is removed and relocated to the skids. (it's a little tight) Featured in Screens2. CH-146 Griffon This one seats 8 in the main compartment. It has two different guns on the doors for testing purposes at this time.Down the road you will see:MEDEVAC - Complete with animated doors and stretcher seats for woundedESCORT - designed to be used with the WIP CH-147 Chinook, this will not carry any passengers and will carry a heavier armament. TRANSPORT - Stripped of door guns but capable of sitting 12 troops will fully animated doors.

Hopefully the griffon wouldn't have the same problem with the ONS one where you could see through it when dust was present. Great work guys! tuskin38 25 Posted November 27, 2013 (edited) Not sure what your plan is regarding tanks, but the AAF are getting a very looking Leopard 2 looking tank in an upcoming update, could possibly Re-texture that to look Canadian. warlord554 2065 Posted December 2, 2013 Looks great, but did you modify a stryker and call it a LAV?? Just curious I've spent a few hours in each ;)
kingkenny04 9 Posted December 2, 2013 If you're referring to the USMC LAV 25, it's not the same as the Canuck LAVIII
ohally 26 Posted December 3, 2013 (edited) The LAV III was originally modeled by Young Eagle for ONS in A2. Due to a series of bugs and issues ONS choose not to release it publicly. The model it's self is original. no the USMC LAV 25 is not the same as the LAV III, the CAF LAV is more like the stryker body, the CAF Coyote however is very similar to the LAV 25. Also we are re-texturing the AAF MRAP as a place holder for the TAPV. it will give a decent middle ground between Mech and Light infantry. the RG-31 will likely not make it in as it is being decommissioned by the CAF. Sorry for the delay between updates. Right now I am re-writing a lot of the configs to be fully compatible with the new ALIVE release. Screens and info coming soon. TAPV: **note: All 3 variants are available, GMG, HMG, and unarmed (featured) Edited December 3, 2013 by Ohally
Kaxii 11 Posted December 3, 2013 Do you plan to improve the C7/8 textures? As they are quite blurry especially on the scope as I assume they are ported from Arma 2? Other than that the LAV is looking great!

Other than that the LAV is looking great! Can you send a screenshot of this? Also, it depends on your quality settings.
Kaxii 11 Posted December 3, 2013 I will try and get the screens, I have textures on very high and I think they are not very "Blurry" but they are not as sharp or high res as other Arma 3 textures I think so thats why I was asking if you were going to improve the textures.
theebu 31 Posted December 3, 2013 I get what you mean, don't worry about the screens. Yea the texture is from A2. Unfortunately I don't have a higher-rez version of it. I'll take a look and see what I can do about sharpening up the textures, but no promises.
Kaxii 11 Posted December 3, 2013 Thanks for the reply, np the vehicles are more important atm and I know you have a lot on your plate ;)
