Iraq 2003 Invasion. An Episodic Mod - ARMA 3

Recommended Posts

Sounds very interesting i must admit i know i have made a few mich helmets that might be on the level of the arma 3 engine but then again i'm not so sure they were used in Iraq during the invasion.

Anyway sounds very interesting :D and good luck

Can the engine support the planned terrain. Arma 2 Chernarus was said to be about the largest you can go on this kind of engine, I think it was a BIS dev that said this so you might want to look into that but yes, sounds awesome - good luck :)

Nope, you can go bigger.

Take a glimps at taviana. It's some kind of four times the size of Chernarus, if not even more....

Try contacting the Lost Brothers team. They did not do any 2000+ conflicts in Iraq but they did do a lot of work creating a mod based off of the First Gulf War, modeling Iraqi, Saudi, US and Qatari militaries. Maybe you guys could work together.

I approve this :)

Not a huge fan of the futuristic setting, i prefer a more present day setting.

Sorry for such a long departure. I'm not sure if this would actually work on any kind of consumer level. I don't see how anyone would actually WANT to go through with a 300+ mile drive. The amount of work for something no one would play seems like a waste of time. Don't get me wrong though, the achievement of actually doing such a thing would be pretty spectacular, but the long waiting of just driving in a desert for days on end would be mind numbing. Maybe just a couple scripts during the battles would suffice? During our cavalry charge, each battle become more and more ferocious. It all culminated in one of the most amazing battles in modern times when only half of Apache troop fought and destroyed an entire squadron of T-72's in Iraq's final stand during the Fall of Baghdad.

Sure we do. What the hell was the name of that Finnish mod? FDF. I remember one mission where I ran for maybe 38 minutes real time...?

Anyways -sounds great and best O' luck!

Not to pimp anything, but we over at combat will have most, if not all the wheeled and tracked stuff, to make such a huge project work. PM me if you would like to chat about joining up.

Just one question... did you want US army forces in the mod aswell? or is it only marines? this could be interesting whatever the answer is

The 7th Cavalry is in the United States Army. The other factions include the Fadayeen Special Forces, and the Republican Guard.

oddly enough, NO IED's were used during this Cavalry charge. IED's came during the occupation. In Fact, this whole situation will only be spanning just over 3 weeks.

Interesting. I support it.

For me what's selling your idea right now is you. Your experiences and personality are the most important thing to translate to the project, and you've already conveyed that you can do that, in theory.

If you can assemble a team and get it going, I would love to play it - however many 300 mile drives there are :)

I know a few good voice actors, I'll ask them if they're interested!
