Player looking for squad (not for squads to post looking for players!)

I'm looking for a squad for ArmA 3, I've been part of realism squads since the OFP days and I've been part of more relaxed squads in ArmA 2.

Now a days I'm after a more relaxed group to play with, none of the full on realism stuff I used to play years ago.

Cheers.

Hello

I'm looking for an arma 3 realism unit I am a loyal person and trustworthy. I have been in several other realism unit's including one I was in for 2 years for I44 in ARMA 2 where I reached the rank of Major. now for my schedule my job gives schedules out weekly and it's a rotating schedule which means I don't work the same days every week so if you have weekly training I may not be able to make it every week depending on my schedule for that week so if you don't mind that then great. One other thing I want to say is I do have some FPS issues in ARMA 3 depending on the mods and islands that are used but I have been able to play with decent FPS and have 216 hours on ARMA 3. so please send me a pm I look forward to hearing from you.

thanks

Hi everyone,

I have been playing ARMA for about 2 months, having made the transition from Battlefield 4. I still have a blast with my mates, but I just don’t have the patience for BF any more. There’s rarely any tactics used, and in spite of the reasonable map sizes and vehicles, it is (IMO) still just a glorified twitch shooter.

I am really enjoying the ARMA experience, and am slowly learning the ropes using the mission editor and showcase missions. I’m also enjoying the tension of Wasteland (although I still don’t have any confirmed kills yet).

My main love is flying helicopters, transports and littlebirds mainly, and I’m looking for a clan / team that can help me become an effective and useful pilot in the field. While I have the basics down, I don’t have any experience flying in a ‘live’ environment, so I thought a good intro into this world would be to secure a co-pilot position – there’s no point offering to be a pilot until I am confident in my own abilities; I will be a good pilot in time, I just need training and guidance.

In return, I can offer:

Loyalty

Patience (I’m happy to follow orders, even boring ones, for the good of the team)

Life experience (I’m 40 years young)

Respect for players in general, as well as ranking systems

One evening a week (I have a family, so time is tight, but I could definitely meet up for a regular evening slot)

I am in the process of getting money together for a decent joystick and TrackIR.

I’m based in the UK, have a decent laptop, and will be getting Teamspeak set up shortly. I’m happy to install any mods too, if required (including the helo DLC).

PM me if any of that sounds good.

Thanks

Alex

Name: C. Saunders

Location: Hawaii

Timezone: UTC-10:00

Age: 24

Experience: 13 months in Task Force 187, most of which I was E-5 and 1-1-C FTL

Reason for leaving: Irreconcilable conflict with owner of TF187

I am looking for a large milsim unit with a friendly community. I don't mind being a simple infrantryman in a fireteam, though I am always willing to take on more responsibility as I am needed. I'd prefer less emphasis on ranks and more emphasis on teamwork and respect between members, but I am perfectly capable of operating under a strict ranking structure. The one thing I will not put up with is a singular "leader" ontop with the only say in any matter.

About me: I graduated from the University of Oregon (Go Ducks!) with a degree in accounting. I am about to become a licensed CPA, and I am an active member of Rotary International. I have had a robust education in teamwork and leadership, as well as years of real world experience through my career and service organizations.

Unless you can show me that you're an amazing leader with the drive needed to create an effective arma unit, I won't join a small or "growing" group. I'm looking for one with 30+ active members that conducts large scale operations.

If you've got a great unit and want me to join, feel free to contact me through Private Message or Steam:

Hi I'm a 21 year old guy from California. I recently got into arma III and I am looking for a casual, no attendance requirement clan/group of people to play with that plays either on pacific time or plays late hours in US Eastern time.

I dont consider myself very experienced although I have put 100 hours into the game and I definitely want to play larger scale coordinated gameplay that clans and groups provide. I would prefer infantry since I am a terrible pilot and I dont think I could fly. I am open to both large and small clans. Thank you!

Looking for a small to medium sized oceanic squad/clan that regularly plays any Arma 2 or 3 based missions or mods. I am looking for a serious group that can also just relax and have fun. People that sing or yell constantly in teamspeak should best not bother contacting me! I am generally available each night and sometimes during the day and generally quite active if the game mode is right (arma 2 epoch.. is a good example).

Riley Devine

Age 26

phoenix, az, USA

Looking for a group that is active during west coast USA primetime (5-10 pm pst or about), adult only, and is coop oriented.

I'm willing/prefer to use additional mods for realism, ai, or anything else that improves immersion and realism, but I'm not interested in Altus life or other similar rpg mods.

I do not wish to role play as a member of a real military outside of game, and I'm not looking for a hard core milsim unit that requires that, however I would still prefer structure and an environment where people are expected to cooperate and communicate in a simulation like manner. To clarify: I will not be saluting my monitor or answering with sir every sentence, but I'm still looking for a military simulation type experience that takes immersion seriously.

I am able to pilot fixed or rotary in game and have track ir (head tracking hardware), several joysticks, rudder pedals, etc. I've been a big flight simulation enthusiast, so although I don't have much experience flying in arma it shouldn't take long for me to be an above average pilot.

Please excuse any typos or poor grammar as I'm postin from my phone at work in an attempt to get a reply before I get hone this evening to meet and see if I can find a good home, so to speak.

This is a new account, so if there are any issues pming me please let me know here and I'll get you contact info.

Looking forward to hearing from a good group of guys,

Riley

Experience: been around since Operation Flashpoint multiple years in Shacktac in the Arma 1 days

Reason for leaving: stopped gaming altogether

Hello all,

I have been playing the this series since Operation Flashpoint. I joined Shacktac in its early years and loved the tactical realism style of play. I gave up gaming as I started a career/family. At this point I find gaming a perfect fit

as my only free time is later evenings. I am looking for a tactical realism style clan, adult only, something like ShackTac that hopefully has their primary ops on Fridays after 20:00 EST and has a sizable player base.

If you have a clan that would fit the bill and have an opening please let me know.

Thanks,

Time Zone: (UTC - 5) Eastern U.S.

Available: I'm available most evenings; subject to change as I'm always on call due to the nature of my job.

Game Experience: Pretty new to the game, I've been playing, learning, researching and trying to get deeper into the game. Approx. 70 hours in game at time of report.

Life Experience: 8 years USMC as an 0311; Reserves, 2 combat deployments. Served most of my time as a Fire Team Leader, and another respectable chunk as a Squad Leader. Also spent my 2nd deployment as a vehicle commander in a QRF unit, working closely with EOD and Sniper/Recon platoons.

Skills: I can shoot people. I can navigate easily. I can operate land vehicles, and surface boats effectively. Also, I bring a lot of real world small unit tactical knowledge to the table which may be applicable in various in-game scenarios, and I'm not cocky about it.

Weaknesses: Target acquisition in certain conditions. Can't fly, still learning. Still learning the game in general.

Looking For: COOP, small/medium/large group of friendly semi-serious players

Name: Chris

Age: 40 (no, not a typo)

Time Zone: GMT UK Time

Available: Can get on from 2000h onwards most evenings due to work and family. Generally know well in advance if I won’t be able to make it.

Game Experience: I’m almost scared to mention it, but I started on CoD, then progressed to Battlefield. Now I’ve tried Arma III I’m hooked. I did have the original Operation Flashpoint, but due to ignorance of youth was seduced by the cinematic feel of CoD. At least I’m used to the mechanics of an FPS!

Strengths: I have no problem with being given instructions and will follow them to the best of my ability. The reason that I’ve slowly migrated away from CoD and through Battlefield to Arma is because I’m NOT a solo player seeking to be the star of the team – I’ve been gravitating toward a teamwork orientated shooter for a while now. I put the team / squad first and have no interest in k/d ratios which is just as well as I’ve learnt quickly that they have no place in Arma. I am comfortable on Teamspeak and although I’m not too chatty I am happy to voice an opinion when called upon.

Weaknesses: As you can probably gather I’m learning Arma from an FPS background, so have died many, many times in the main campaign but I am enjoying it immensely. At the moment I’m having problems spotting enemies unless they have a red box around them(!) but feel I am getting better little by little.

I’m looking for a well-structured milsim Clan / Squad / Platoon that can help mould this rough clay into something they need and a role I can specialise in, so a clan with a training program would be preferable. I’m also slightly concerned that I’m progressing through the campaign and picking up some bad habits so basic training as a basis would also be good, but not essential, although you’d best be the judge of that. Whether your squad operates in the same fictional setting as the main campaign or in the ‘real World’ doesn’t bother me in the slightest.

I hope there’s someone out there that the above stirkes a chord with. Any questions or invitations to trial etc, then please drop me a pm.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Name: Vlad "Denuro"

Age: 22

Time Zone: GMT +2, Latvia

Available:

Monday, Wednesday - 18:00-23:40;

Friday, Saturday - any time.

Game experience:

I've played a lot of military shooters. CoD series, Battlefield series, Operation Flashpoint, ArmA: Armed Assault, ArmA 2, ArmA 3.

I played ArmA 2 for nearly two years. That's with ACE/ACRE modifications.

Strengths:

I'm very well experienced as a combat medic (corpsman), FTL, Marksman, spotter and sniper. Previously preferred to work only in fireteams, as a medic or a rifleman, but switched over to a more remote-ish style, as a recon team member. I do put teamwork as a top priority and I am focused more on giving out exact intel over AO&Hostiles whereabouts, as well as providing covering fire for those who are on a hot spot.

Weaknesses:

My english is not native, so while I can do small errors here and there, while typing, my actual spelling/pronounce sometimes may be harsh.

May not work effectively as a part of a fireteam (e.g rifleman) due to some social issues, that's why I prefer lately to be either a Marksman/Spotter/Sniper aka Recon team member.

I'm into:

I'm looking for an organized milsim unit or semi-milsim unit. As well as realistic (as much as possible) experience during operations, to dive into military immersion and not only gain joy from it but also provide it to others, hopefully.

Additional skills:

Able to operate a helicopter.

Able to drive a light vehicle/medium vehicle.

Experience from mission making (Mostly ArmA2)

23 yr old US military vet living in GMT +4 time zone. have been looking for a group but their schedules conflict.

I don't need a bullshit 23847127495 day basic that teaches me nothing i already know from my actual training cuz you wanna be realistic. I had my realism already. Accept me, run me through some stuff and teach me stuff about the game. I'm very adaptable to play styles.

all times that follow are GMT +4 for availability.

SUNDAY- THURSDAY 1900(maybe)-2300 (thursday will be 0200)

FRIDAY and SATURDAY 1000-0000. (exceptions can be made for friday, I know I'm in an awkward time zone. saturday is no exception sorry)

Preferred Weapon and Class: Medic or Auto Rifleman,Medic: M16A4/M4 with G33/magnifier or ACOG, Glock 17 (will change if needed...I just like glocks lol). if AutoRifleman: m249, m145 or G33/magnifier (its a machine gun let's be serious lol)

I am very MOD friendly. I LOVE TFAR AND AGM. good realism and the sound of that radio beeping and crackling with PROPER RADIO TALK gives me a tent in my pants like you wouldn't believe haha.

again, I'm VERY adaptable to play styles. I've joined in multiple recruitment servers and adapted to what they were doing. send me a message on here if you have the time criteria, cuz you'll get the work criteria on my end. Let it be noted now that I will fight for higher positions from the start. so if you need more SGTs or WOCs running around who think outside the box or wanna expand your Aviation group with random promotions to a WO or Officer rank. Bet that I'll be going for it.

Ok I have been searching for the perfect fit for 2 years now without much success.

Here's my selfish list of needs. I'm pretty sure there's no team that fits all of them but if you have the same, feel free to PM me, we'll check the possibility to start a new team.

- Wednesday nights (something like 7PM-9PM ish, EST). Other nights are possible. No attendency is NEEDED. Life comes first. We set a time, people that can be there shows off, we start at a predetermied time with those that showed up. JIP is accepted.

- No BST bullshit. I've 8 years as infantryman, I know what I'm doing, thanks. New guys would be included and squads and evaluated on the field.

- MCC/Zeus missions: Heavily scripted missions no go for me. There's nothing like a human to adapt to ever changing situations.

- PVEVP : The perfect setup in my eyes is having few players (10-20% of the players) playing as OpFor + few AI as enemies so you have the intelligent human factor, not only mindless bots.

The OpFor members would be volunteers and would change every missions so it's not always the same guys that do OpFor.

- Respawn : I'm playing A3 for having fun. I don't want to spend 1h45min of a 2 hours session dead because a AI with godlike aiming skills shot me in the head from 800 meters through bushes. Revive mechanics, respawn at a FOB or vehicle, stuff like that.

- Few mods : too much mods makes the game laggy and unstable. I'm perfectly fine with the default weapons and settings. There's still the "needed" ones like AGM/TFAR, damage mod (because I hate having to put 8 bullets in a guy to down him), MCC, and 2-3 others.

- Realism but no "yes sir!" bullshit (I already have my share of that). No fixed MOS. Anyone can play on any position and change on any subsequent mission, from pilot to diver to Team Leader.

- 18+. No drama. People who knows to joke when out of mission and to get serious when it's on.

If this exists, or if you'd want to create it with me please PM me.

Thanks!

21 Yr old British/German player looking for a group of people to play with. Am especially interested in clans adopting aircraft support as I'm an avid flyer. I'm looking for a non-elitist, friendly group of people who are serious but laid back. I'm not looking for a group which involves a regime for attendance at the outset as I'm occupied with other activities. Simply want to participate in missions whenever I'm free.

Prefer an 18+ environment. Like a little banter :P

Am also developing the Scope Mod A3 add-on.

Name: Murphy (also my steam handle)

Country: Ireland

Timezone: GMT (Can be a little flexible if needed)

Hi, I'm currently looking for a new unit after assisting in what turned out to be a non-starter over the past two weeks. I've a wealth of experience in Arma 2 (most of which is sadly unlogged by steam) and I'm starting to get into Arma 3. My interest lies in Tier one SOF missions, such as hostage situations, Direct Action raids, SSE, Kill or Capture orders for HVT's and so on. Off the virtual battlefield I love choosing mods, I know a thing or two about server administration and I have basic mission creation skills learnt while I was running a unit in Arma II. My hobbies outside of Arma consist of reading books about SOF and playing other games, mostly Action RPG's and Grand Strategy Games.

When it comes to my place in a unit, I just wanna lead my little elite corner of the greater whole, I feel I make a good officer when I'm given good men who know how to kick the greatest amount of ass in the smallest amount of time, and when Command knows how to run an Operation. Given responsiblity I don't disappoint. It might sound arrogant to some, but I'm 100% confident I can perform to the highest level in any situation one might find themselves in in Arma.

My attitude to training is thus. While I'm a firm believer that a certain amount of training is important, I believe that an exact simulation of actual military training is altogether not necessary nor indeed, desirable. What creates a disciplined unit of High Speed Low Drag Arma operators is practice and comradery, not endless drills. Training Programmes should be concise and tailored to fit Operational requirements, not designed as copy exact recitation of BCT so the top guys can play Gunny Hartman.

When it comes to the whole issue of virtual rank and such, while I prefer a more slack attitude to the whole rank issue, I don't strictly have a problem with it. With one small tiny condition, I'm not referring to anyone as sir unless they deserve that respect, You were in the military? You deserve my respect. You're a good leader of men, you deserve my respect. You aren't entitled to my respect if your sole claim to the office is that you have 35 spare bucks a week. Might seem harsh or cocky to some, but I've had to put up with too many Encino Man types in my time to just blindly believe in guys because they promise a lot.

The mods I'd like to roll with: (the more of these your unit uses the better)

ASR AI

AGM

CTab

FHQ Accessories

HLC AR 15

MRT Accessory Functions

RH Pistol Pack

Task Force Radio

TFA uniforms

I believe that covers everything and I look forward to any offers coming my way.

Hi,

I'm a 26 year old Brit who's seeking a semi-realistic, team-oriented Arma 3 group that plays around 2100GMT/BST a few times a week. I want to make friends, have fun and be an active/regular part of the group. I'm primarily interested in COOP (although large-scale PvP is ok too) and am flexible regards mods, training, rules, etc providing the group I join is worth it in the end.

I've played many hours in Arma 2, making missions for myself and COOP with friends. While I've got Arma 3, I've only spent a short amount of time with it as none of my friends play it. So there'd be an element of "learning the ropes" as I adjust.

Let me know, thanks!
