[SP/MP] Dynamic Whole Map ArmA3 Missions by SaOk

Another issue.. When i start a new game TMR autorest/bipod functions working nicely. But after loading a savegame they don't work any ideas?.

This is not a WLA issue and you ll have it with every saved game in any other mission if you use *some addons

Next time you ll begin a "new" game..make sure you will run also the Moduload addon with your other addons.

After that..every time you ll load a game you can re-initialize your addons..and probably they will work again.

DUWS didnt have the spawnsystem which SaOk is using (which makes WLA so great) that everywhere enemies can spawn. In DUWS you got these areas and between those u have 0 movement, 0 enemies or other things, no joke, i felt asleep while playing DUWS, but i was 3 days awake before started play. DUWS isn´t bad, i played it multiple times. But it doesnt have the "special thing" which tells me to play it more often. Just my opinion, no offense.

I play WLS/WLA since i intalled Arma3, i am sure, i wouldnt play it so long without the WholeSeries, 110%sure :)

I completely agree! WLA is so alive with so much going on, which is why it's pretty much the only scenario I play now (Must be pushing 100 hours in this scenario alone by now).

I just thought the persistent team mates would mesh really well with the way WLA is set up. Maybe have them cost a lot of points to recruit (And recruit again when they get hit and 'recover') so it balances or somesuch. I don't know, just throwing ideas around here ;)

Like Giorgry said, use Moduload, then all works fine. When i start the Mission i wait till my squad and me was drop off by the Chopper, then save and exit and Resume the saved game. After loading i press to initialize the addons and all works fine ;)

Question, when i get killed and I have 3 AI teammates to respawn on, i seem to spawn where I started without my gear I chose from Vas, then when i walk

forward to the ruins I then respawn on them, is there a way to fix this?

I'm playing the coop for 1-8 players.

There´s no more Cutscenes on the SP version (v1.6701 I think) at the beggining (like a prologue) I miss that! Anyway, this latest version has lotsa improvements on performance, right? V1.666 didn´t caused frame loss, but it lagged a bit - after 3 hours of gameplay - to spawn objects and call the menus (fast travel/shop/etc), maybe it was moduload addon that was reinitializing all addons, causing duplicity of already initialized mods...

Keep it up, Saok, it´s a helluva well polished and fun sandbox mission!

Would be nice to see some versions for other islands and Arma 2. Is it hard to make a port for other maps?And maybe Possible to make the mission into a Modular modules/Framework like MSO(turn on/off stuff) for easier sandbox mission making/port new maps?

I wonder what can we do surrendered enemies other than executing?.

Also a suggestion. Could you make mortars, stationed but empty Hmgs and other stuff carriable with a truck like you did with crates?.

Ok so I have been trying to add an ammo crate to the support tab. I have got the crate to drop but it drops in the sea in the bottom left corner, also when i asked for a truck to drop it dropped the ammo crate, again in the sea bottom left corner. Edited the SupportDrop.sqf and the SupportCost.sqf. New to all this but is there somewhere else I should be editing.

The box i'm trying to add is the ADF using "ADF_WeaponBox" as the class name as per the docs with the mod. Due to where the marker is showing the drop i cant really get to it to see what is actually? dropping.

New COOP WLA versions are here (dropbox, withSix, steam). More fixes and tweaks, added random guarded houses and village guards.

Thanks, all. :) Could try to add some more selection what kind of team-mates you can hire, will see how it comes. There will be concept versions from more maps soon hopefully during spring. Iron Front A3 and Chernarus first in my mind :). There isnt yet function for surrendered units, but in plans. Could be easy to make static weapons carriable, but needs much changes of how guardposts/camps work, but will see. Or could add just separate static guns, that player could purchase and move freely.

You can drop the ADF_WeaponBox with code:

_n = [getposATL player, "ADF_WeaponBox"] execVM "SupportDrop.sqf";

I try to remember add that crate to next SP version.

COOP version stability seems to be finally good. On BIS stress server the first time no script performance or FPS leak in 17 hours (but with quite low player amount). Can hopefully focus on mission now instead hunting bugs that dont leave trace.

If I take the backpack and somebody kill me, after respawn i haven't got my backpack. :)

I have the same problem in the actual version ... but with this error message: Undefined expression: position :(

These missions are so difficult.

Yesterday I spent all night playing Altis and starting over and over and over again...

My first time playing I was lucky and dropped in a safe zone with no enemies and could build a nice base then move out only having died a sane amount of times but then I saved in an area where a bunch of damn enemy tanks were heading straight for me apparently and there was basically no way to escape especially since my AI teammates insisted on attacking the tanks even though they were on orders absolutely not to.

Anyways I started over thinking I would be able to build another quaint base very soon… and ended up starting over for hours upon hours after randomly being bombarded by attack helicopters coming out of nowhere in the blue sky, APCs driving straight into camp, civilians appearing out of nowhere and driving straight into me and all sorts of other completely unexpected attacks that would more or less make my save useless because I wanted a solid, somewhat atmospheric start… sometimes my chopper couldn’t even touch down in the very beginning of the mission or my escort would be taken out by attack helicopters before we even landed and then attack us too, with lots of enemy tanks nearby too!

It’s too randomised, with no quality control…

I think I’ve finally had a good start though and have made camp up in Abdera… now my mission is to assault a camp nearby that has at least two-three enemy vehicles.

Any tips?

Haven’t discovered all features of the mission yet quite clearly. I’m thinking I should use VAS to stock up on as many missiles as I can and not leave anything to the dim-witted AT AI.

I love the ambition but you have to save constantly not to be bombarded to superdeath.

Save for what constantly? If u die u will respawn up to 1km away from the point u were killed.

To the facts : i started a new game few hours ago, and now i got a issue, the buy command (shift+f1) is not working anymore. It's very embarrassing because now i can't reinforce camps. Like i said, it's a 3-4 hours game, i'd like not to start it again :confused_o:

So if somebody got a solution to fix it, it would be great. Thanks :)

Saok is there a reason that your weapons dont save when you respawn, and that when you choose a respawn location or want to respawn on one of your team

that you still end up back where you started?

I find this annoying and breaks the mission for me. I'm playing the 1-8 coop version, really testing it as i'd like to put it on my gameserver for me and a couple of friends.

Try to reinitialize your game with the mod "Moduload" U can find it on Armaholic Downloads.

Mate, this is exactly what has happened to me and still happening. I've many times ragequitted because of this and now i'll spawn my team with five AA and six AT launcher soldiers. FYI i was about to attack a camp with my team and suddenly three armored stuff came to protect their base. Ofcourse i always have three Titan AP missiles(dont even try another AntiArmor beside Titan) and destroyed them but after that a heli showed up and bombarded my teammates and poof!. Then two enemy squad came from different directions and they were keep coming afterwards. So i raged alot and quit after six hours stress just for one camp.

New "Save/Kill Officer"-task, New "Create Guardpost"-task, Guardpost creator is now able to delete the post, Guardpost bunker gives now limits for static weapons/vehicles and AIteams, Gear is now transfered between dead and respawn, New personal value for VAS/Armed Support access, +Much tweaks and fixes.

Thanks all, difficulty level is worked slowly during adding new features.

Hey, I just added gear transfer (between dieing and respawning) after reading your earlier post (also remembering ealier request from Luki_M2K) and planning to add the option to skip island part if wanted. Have been getting so much messages in steam too, that its impossible to answer to everything and/or keep mission updated instantly to every request even I would like the thrown ideas.

Will work on AI team-mates soon. Planning to add own value for each player, how much AI-member they can have. Commiting certain tasks would allow bigger team.
