Had this happen today. Told a guy he needed to be in ts to fly and hell broke loose. Started teleporting us, dunked us, blew us up and then locked up my chat console so I couldnt ban him. I had to hard crash the server. Until then server was up for 6-8 hours. No one should be able to take control like that. Ridiculous.

If you didn't noticed A3 is using Gamespy right now, if Steamworks was implemented from the very beggining there would be no such issue.

And as far as i understand there is none Steamworks integration right now, except fact the game is being distributed by Steam content servers.

Servers need anti tk and base rape scripts/addons.

Server i was on today, the Admin couldn't keep up with all the friendly fire --it was a mess.

TK'ing and base rape are bad dont get me wrong. But at least your aware of it happening. Its the use of hacks which are far more worrying.

Just google "Artifical Aiming - arma3" this site has actually got someone making money on selling this crap and there seems to be plenty out there happy to pay to get "such an awesome program". It honestly makes me very depressed to think people will pay for a game such as Arma3 then get some thrill out getting loads of kills because they have a radar and icons showing all the enemies on it.

I hope to god BI can do something to combat this, and hopefully sue the person thats making money out of it!

The only solution would be malicious I'm afraid. We would need to come together as a community and commit to TCP DoS attacks on their site, which is quite illegal but what they're doing is also illegal. Combat illegal with illegal.

Cracks

Mostly the crackers modify the original software and disable some functions.

KeyGens

Often the crack comes with a Key-generator, which is capable to use the same algorithms and produce useable keys.

The crackers/cheaters uses "trial and error" for to find a working key. It has been often said that the crackers are doing it as a sport or for a achievement but not for money.

If there are working KeyGens, the developers use to have a whitelist of sold copies and a blacklist of already banned IDs.

But any cheater with a KeyGen can create another Key (for the next mp-round) faster then any tool can detect it.

Stolen keys

Some criminals offer infested software to players (let's say a aimbot) and installs a hidden trojan virus which is capable to steal the game-ID from that player. You can find stolen keys on warez-sites for $5-10.

I have noticed the exact same things happening in arma II public servers and now in arma III. Whats more annoying than this is people are hardly ready to team up. Most people i have seen are too busy playing solo.

The solution to all this as stated before is to not allow everyone into the servers. But then again there are many players who do behave the way you would expect them to behave and if you simply put a password and lock up the server you might miss out on the experience with them.

Banning the culprits could stop these people from coming back in so in the end when all such people have been blocked you get a clean server.. but you already know that :D

It's an Alpha. Do you know what that actually means? It means that pretty much nothing is completed yet. If you have a gripe with BattleEye, then you should've thought of that before buying the game.

- your statements concern online MP only... usually not something that is tested in alpha
