Will Arma 3 continue beta-patch support?

Recommended Posts

Just curious if anyone knows if Arma3 will continue to have beta patches available throughout it's cycle? Will they work the same as with Arma 2/Steam?

Thanks for any info

That question can't be answered right now but I'm supposing that in the future, once the game is released, that it will get the same support structure A2 did.

The game hasn't entered its alpha testing yet,and you worry about having beta patch support?

When the time comes,we will know.

We're trying to take it to the next level, using the Development branch in Steam's application properties (opt-in and not default). During Alpha, Beta and I imagine after release this is where we'll deploy fixes, experiments, changes and additions rather frequently ... before they get deployed on the main game branch. This could mean that branch is not always working well, but it allows rapid fix confirmation and a sneak peek into future updates.

Say is it possible to revert to a previous, let´s call it Beta, version with steam?

What happens if the new experimental version really breaks something, is the only possible solution to either wait until this gets fixed, or to go on the stable branch wich might miss some other recent fixes or features?

Normally you opt out of beta and Steam will then redownload the last stable non beta version and apply it.

You'll hopefully have us (SIX) to still come to the rescue there ;-)

(Yes I realize we have to hurry up with our multi-version support :))
