SpecterM 10 Posted March 14, 2013 You have to run it on a separate box or on a vps. You can't run a server and play the game on the same computer since steam will throw a hissy fit. I found this yesterday and it will save everyone alot of money if they are reading this thread. This will allow you to run a server without steam causing an issue and kicking the server since it's already running.This restarter.exe (same as in the DayZ hive) has been modified to allow usage with Arma 3. kremator 1064 Posted March 14, 2013 I put my steam in offline mode. Launched a server, then tried to launch my game and I got this message. "Failed to start game (app is already running)"How did you get this to work? Just launch it again, then again, then again. What worked for me is to not launch from Steam but rather go to the install directory and run directly from arma3.exe... deltahawk5 1 Posted March 17, 2013 I can't get the server to pick up the configuration file. Everytime I launch the game with the parameters, the server launches but none of the settings I chose take effect.
