RadicalAtHeart 11 Posted January 26, 2013 (edited) When standing on one location and I turn around 360 degrees, sometimes the shadows are different and you notice a flicker or a switch when a shaow is suddenly not present when watching that view angle. It's very irritating. It has been present since ArmA 1. I have tried AMD, all drivers since maybe 180? Does anyone know how to solve this? I own a EVGA GTX670 FTW It's not really flickering shadows. But when standing still with lots of trees or objects around you and you turn around slowly you can see shadows see suddenly appearing or disappearing. This has been addressed already, but still not solved? https://dev-heaven.net/issues/15583 http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?123203-ArmA-2-OA-Beta-Build-83363/page3 there is clearly a movie showing the bug. I really hope this is solved in ArmA 3. This is the one thing that makes me turn off shadows. Although it's not as bad as in the movie. It's more like it's there or it isn't. It doesn't flicker. It just appear under a certain angle and then disappears again if you keep turning. It's really sad. Edited January 26, 2013 by RadicalAtHeart
Ezcoo 47 Posted January 26, 2013 I have the same issue too in A2 (Gigabyte GTX 670 here), but it's quite rare and doesn't really disturb me at all. Try this when you experience the issue in game: hold your LEFT SHIFT and NUMPAD MINUS -, then release both keys and type FLUSH. It cleans your video memory, it might help. babyloncome 3 Posted January 27, 2013 Might help if you let us know what setting shadows are on, Normal or low uses CPU power to produce shadows while High and V.High uses the GFX to produce.
