vuur150 1 Posted January 14, 2013 Hi, thanks for reading. Basically i can't see chat messages in the chat box. When someone is using voice chat i can't see his name to indicate he is using the mic. * Direct chat never works, other people can read my stuff but i can't remotely see theirs. I often have that person tell me over steam that I ignore his stuff or someone tells me everyone is spamming chat to me but i can't see it. * Side chat didn't work just now, only for a couple of players. Turned out people were spamming me the IP for teamspeak and the coordinations of the base, but i didn't see it and i had one person tell me ( i could see HIS stuff ). - MAYBE i can't see some markers on the map. As i mentioned above, people told me that the base was marked on the map ( player mark ) but i didn't see any base related markers. This problem occured in vanilla, DayZ and probably ACE as well. The only threads i can find about this are ALL About the DayZ mod, but I never play that, so it's not relevant to my issue. I hope you guys can help me because this is a gamebreaking issue. BoltboxerPro 1 Posted January 14, 2013 Hey, I've never heard of this problem but in my noob opinion it looks like something may be missing or messed up in the game files. Did you have this problem before you downloaded addons? If I were you I'd reinstall the game, test it out, then add one mod or addon at a time testing each on out. Hope it works! First of all thank you for your effort and suggestion. Although I'm convinced i had the issue before getting any mods, i will try reinstalling all of it soon. Do you think i should install arma 2 first(CD) , patch it and then install oa? Sorry for the late response btw, i checked my email every second but i didn't get any notification. In my personnal experiences I install OA first, restarted my comp, then ran it. Then i did the same to Arma 2. I then tested them out and patched them. Thats how it worked for me and I think OA should come first since Arrowhead runs the combined operation. You probably have some gitch with arma 2 and operation arrowhead mixing up or something. Sorry for the ridiculously late response, i didn't get another notification :\ Anyway i tried reinstalling it in the order i mentioned (Do you think i should install arma 2 first(CD) , patch it and then install oa?) and i still have the problem.
