3. A good Machine Gun with a crew of two or 3 man, not the silly one man M60 pig without ammo and tripod type stand, a Heavy Machine Gun setup with a specialist Fixtures like a tripod. And NO not the M2 .50 that thing is a cannon i hate it! ... we want a 7.62 51mm NATO MG team with ammo carrying and officer (Private ammo, Sgt Firing, Officer commanding)

I'd like big addon pack full of Ambient loops....really good 400m plus AK clacking and such...and perhaps more distant .50 cal and Arty thumps and bopping.

Those that complain that one (bad yes) loop we have now is poor realism...it might be an aweful loop (because of the content arangement not quality) but the 'Guys tapping on pots and pans' is realistic...if you ever go to shooting clubs/ranges or have been in the military you would know - or even from good quality audio recordings.

The best part of that ambient loop (the one, the only) we have now, is the first few distant arty thuds...if that were extended without any of the terrible gun fire and cheapass explosions (at the end of the loop)arangements - it would be good.

Just have a one minute sample of distant .50 cal guns and the Bombs/Artillery thumps - keep it all very subtle and in the background no clear samples - THAT would be great.

A C-130, even if it couldn't land (and I contend that it could on Malden field), would be good for ... what's the d*amn acronym ... LAPES (?) Basically parachuting heavy equipment at low altitude. Delivery of vehicles straight to (near) the FEBA. Good scenario design possibilities there.

I beleive in an interview question long, long ago, someone at BIS stated that they didn't want to add a plane like the C-130 until they could have the player run out the back door himself.

Obiviously, this is pretty much an unrealistic goal for OFP...but d*amn wouldnt' it be cool? :-)

An-225 would take up the whole island to just part. That thing can lift bloody 250000kg of cargo!

It surpasses AN-124 by 50% in size and AN-124 is about 30% bigger than C-5 Galaxy in turn.

Bofors L60 40mm would do wonders in this game. Lots of countries has used/is using it, and it would be very versatile.

I disagree with you on the "M60 for the Hummer", the HMMWV  should have either the T.O.W or the .50cal on it.  All your other ideas are good though

What if they gave you the ability to change positions while the plane was moving, so if you were sitting down the in the cargo bay you could move to a standing up position just behind the door. It wouldn't be exactly running out, but once you ejected you would have a simular feeling. It would seem pretty easy to implement, but maybe more difucult to make an animation of the door opening?

From what I have read on www.fas.org the M21 Sniper rifle we already have is just an accurized (i.e converted) M14 NM rifle, so maybe someone in the community could convert it to the M14 for us.

I know this is jumping back in the thread a bit (but I don't really care). HALO is a method of inserting special forces, designed to get your guy in quick and unseen (and probably break his legs). This LAPES (which I think is correct, but not sure) stands for (I ... again ... think) Low Altitude Parachute Extraction System. There you fly low in your C-130 or whatever, with you tank, jeeps etc on a huge pallet and then shove it out the back. From there it descends not so gently to earth.

I just think it would be a cool thing to see. (If not particularly useful in the game)

The hummer with an m60 would be realistic...and alright..but not to efficiant at taken down people quick..so yep.

And as for the .50 cal, they need to make the sound on it with less hammer - more muffled deep bopping.

I only ask for minor addons. First of all the m60 is a crew served weapon but in the game a single guy can run around with it and shoot it like rambo. They're heavy and belt fed. It just doesnt work that way. I think it would make a lot more sense to have the m249 SAW put into the game. It may not fit into the timeline but then again, neither do half the new weapons, so why not add the SAW to make at least some aspect more realistic?

Probably my biggest issue with the game is the lack of ammo. I'm always running out of ammo. I hope BIS fixes this. For example, a grenadier would never go into battle carrying only 3 clips of ammo and 2 m203 grenades. At least a slightly more realistic loadout could be 6 clips of ammo and 6 m203 grenades. Or an m60 gunner could have 600 rounds of ammo rather than the current 300 or so. You get the idea…I hope.

Some ideas I’ve read in these forums are good. I'm completely for the mortar idea, claymores, and the fast ropes/ladders to deploy and/or mount helicopters. It's ridiculous watching guys parachute out of a chopper from 200 feet. I sure hope BIS takes these ideas into consideration.

Oh and the humvee should have a .50 cal turret on top or a auto grenade launcher . Why the #### did they put the humvee in with no weapon?

ZU23 for the resistance, perhaps even mounted on the back of a truck. Pretty common pice of kit in the middle east.

BTW that choppers a european chopper, the tiger or somethin,, I cant b bothered to get all the techincal details on it but u can bet yo azz its a european chopper & theres no official european forces in OFP which I think sux imho..
