Freelancer 186 Posted January 14, 2013 Greetings all, So the last couple of days I've started on one of my favorite light tanks the T-60 all what you see is work in progress and i'm still adding bits and working on the texture. http://img14.imageshack.us/img14/489/t60.png apart from the T-60 another team member is currently working on a 45mm at gun I'll hopefully have some pictures of that soon. Until then I better get back to work on the T-60 :) Once's again if anyone would like to help please follow this link:http://www.moddb.com/forum/thread/frozen-skieswar-in-the-east
topas 1 Posted January 15, 2013 Nice, if that's not a secret - how long does it take for you to create a model? From what I gather by following the thread you seem to work really fast?

Freelancer made it by 5-7 days i think and i'm not sure if he was working alone or with VirtualOneMedia though. Edited January 15, 2013 by Cyjanek
Freelancer 186 Posted January 15, 2013 (edited) Nice, if that's not a secret - how long does it take for you to create a model? From what I gather by following the thread you seem to work really fast? It takes anything from a week or two as you can see from the other picture of the tank that was posted about a week ago there's been more changes and last night I was not happy with what would of been the outcome of the model so I've actually deleted about 40% of the model and I'm currently re working it all (especially the wheels) Also alot of the work produced is in most cases a team effort.I'm currently the only member in the team who can UVW-Unwrap So most of my time is filled up by UVW Unwraping :p where as the other 3D modelers work on just the 3D model itself and doing some 2D art. +I've also decided to change the way we make our updates now.Insted of more frequent Work in progress what we'll do it maybe onces every 3-4 weeks post a update of all 100% done models. Pvt.Reaper 8 Posted January 15, 2013 So will there be any multi-turreted vehicles like the T-35 or T-28 since they saw action during the early stages of Operation Barbarossa? A lot of people seem to forgot that they even existed.

A lot of people seem to forgot that they even existed. T-28 may apear, but not in 1.0. T-35 has low chance to appear, because of multi-turret. Freelancer worries, if the arma engine can handle many turret systems.

Cyjanek 1 Posted January 15, 2013 The Arma2 engine can handle multi-turrets.Abs That's great news, Abs! Goal of this project, to provide detailed eastern front units, vehicles and maps can cover T-35 tank too!
topas 1 Posted January 15, 2013 The Arma2 engine can handle multi-turrets.Abs It does, we have 2-turrets (T-26) and 3-turrets (T-28) ingame and working. From what I was told by the teammate who was in charge it takes some config work, but it works. I'd say go ahead and bring the T-35 on ;)
repro 10 Posted January 16, 2013 It sure does. I have 3 turrets on all my tanks and that works very good.
