How to add mods to my server?

Recommended Posts

Hello I have Tophes ArmA 2 Dedicated Server Tool and it works great when I play escape from Chernarus with my friends but I would like to add a few mods to my server and one of them is J.S.R.S. Soundmod and when I add the mod to my server the server will launch and I can join but it says waiting for host and does nothing. After looking at my server it says .read from bank over and over.

Opps sorry I forgot to add how can I have the server give a download to them for the mods I have enabled?

Hi mtls44555,

Adding mods to a server is done through a FTP, you would need to setup a folder titled @JSRS and then inside that a folder titled addons,

and then transfer all the files for the sound mod to the addons folder.

From there you would add @JSRS to your command line of the server.

For Tophes ArmA 2 Dedicated Server Tool, I would suggest asking on the thread for it--> http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?104991-Tophe-s-ArmA2-Dedicated-Server-Tool-%28TA2DST%29

Copy n paste. Its just text.

For the part where you want people to download the required addons, I personally see no point in doing this as anyone can easily

download the required mods from armholic or another site.

Downloading required addons and files will take a player longer to get on the server and play, unless you have

a very fast redirect, which is like another ftp.

I would suggest just listing the files in your server title and if folks want to play on your server with said addons/mods then

they will have to get them, unless they have them already.
