How to repair a 50cal_post #2

Recommended Posts

I’m not sure why this got moved, This is not an mission editing question, It is a Game-Play question

When something gets damaged such as the 50 cal gun or a tank, how do you go about fixing it? I tried driving the repair truck over to the damaged gun, ....but then what?

The gun was working but the command bar showed it in red as being damaged after it took a few hits.

Are the repair and ammo trucks only for the infantry? What I mean is how do you fix armor tanks and guns on stands?

Thanks

My apologies, I thought this was a question for a custom mission you were working on. The fact that someone replied with a neat script made me think that as well.

I will close the other thread smile.gif

As for your problem, I don't think it is possible to repair destroyed M2's, just like its impossible to repair blown up tanks smile.gif

To fix anything, the repair truck and the item have to be really close, and you have to be in the item that needs fixing, then you get an option "repair at repair truck". This works for 50cal as well as I just discovered by testing it with the mission editor smile.gif

Hay no problem Ex-RoNiN, smile.gif

I’m sure it gets confusing sometimes sorting through hundreds of post, don’t know how you guys do it, I know I couldn’t. Anyway, thanks for moving it back!

And thanks placebo, I’ll give that a try. I thought maybe I could order one of the guys to repair it them selfs as long as there was a repair truck near giving that the gun or tank was not damaged too bad? I try jumping on the gun myself and see what happens.

Thanks

As far as i know guns and armor can not be fixed after the point where they go boom and smoke leaving you with a twisted pile of black stuff.

Thanks residuum,

Residuum is correct, as I said the guns "still do work". I understand that you can not fix a black char broiled tank. tounge.gif

Sorry about the double post, the forum is moving so slow that I thought it wasn’t working.

Don't sweat it, you can just leave it as a double or if you're so inclined edit it to say it's a double and one of us will delete it eventually smile.gif

One of us!.. one of us!.. one of us!.. one of us!..one of us!.. one of us!.. one of us!.. one of us!.. one of us!.. one of us!..

ohh...sorry, just being annoying here. I think the forums need spicing up. I get bored easily confused.gif

EDIT: And I want to be on your "Number one guy you dislike" on number one. I like being the number one...yes, yep I do. smile.gif
