species1571 65 Posted December 7, 2012 Been playing now for a couple of days with the 1.03.0014 revision and thought I would post some of the bugs I have still been encountering. 1. Returning to an island which (maybe) previously had scramblers but now does not, and has firewalls or shield boosters instead, the telemetry gets reduced as if these were still scramblers. Hacking the firewall or destroying the boosters increases the telemetry. 2. When fitting laser and rockets to a manta and then undocking, switching to the rockets occasionally the target reticle does not appear. This does not fix until all mantas are re-docked and undocked again. 3. When in combat with the enemy carrier, trying to dock mantas and then the lifts become damaged causes the manta to be stuck outside the carrier but cannot be controlled. As soon as the lifts are repaired, the manta spins towards the carrier and docks from wherever it was stuck, even if it is a long distance away. 4. When fighting with the enemy carrier and part of your carrier gets damaged, setting that part to top priority does not start repairs, even if there is a lot of fuel. There is sometimes a long delay before repair starts. 5. Flying a manta to do combat with the enemy carrier, the carrier crashed into the manta and the manta becomes stuck inside the enemy carrier (I have only seen this once so far, I don't make a habit of crashing my mantas). 6. When fighting with the enemy carrier and pursuing him as he gets further from the island, the loading animation plays, and when the game continues, the enemy carrier appears heavily damaged but all the fires and sparkling effects do not start up again. 7. I showed up at an island which was being attacked. A few seconds after I arrived, the island got taken. After this, the buildings on the island had the blue invincibility field over them, and flying around the island the locations of turrets were marked with the target brackets, but the turrets themselves were missing (I have only seen this once so far). 8. When you have manually steered the carrier, setting a waypoint on the map causes the game to forget which direction the carrier was facing, and it snaps back to its previous direction. So if you arrive at a waypoint and manually turn the carrier around 180 degrees, then set a destination just in front of the carrier, it snaps back and has to do the turn around again. Anybody finding any others? It's not all bad though, I am also finding some improvements: Crashes are far less frequent (only had one so far) Walrus AI is noticably improved, but still needs work. Enemy carrier is much harder than it was before. Islands also feel a bit harder, strong islands seem more like deadly islands were before, but this may just be because I had stopped playing for a few weeks. Gnrl_Grad 1 Posted December 7, 2012 Well I just now completed a strategy game with the 1.03 official release patch and I know I've probably said it a million times but I'll say it again, the enemy carrier is still too easy to beat. Game lasted about 30mins again, when I met the enemy carrier it was a ferocious but quick battle. Vehicles, drones all guns blazing! But I still managed to destroy him on first encounter. This time it wasn't the typical easy kill from behind (he seems to turn about more), but I launched a manta with a torpedo and I reckon that dealt a lot of damage and soon after he went down. I never even attacked an enemy island, only neutral ones. I'm going to have to wait for the modding tools so I can hopefully crank up the difficulty a bit. species1571 65 Posted December 8, 2012 Island Deadlock has a break in the navigation on the bridge that goes between the refinery and the bottom right mini-island. Setting a waypoint between one side of the bridge and the other makes the walrus take a long detour around the side of the island. If you drive manually onto the bridge, waypoints cannot be set to any location.
