As I mentioned before both endings (good or bad) have events unfinished

Does that mean there's no end trigger and debriefing screen?

Yes. Because once you return to HQ, you get extra task that is optional. In RL there are no debriefing screens so I cut that off ;) Also, did that because of another scenario I was to add. Mission notes have all of this information :p

Ok, understood. Maybe you'd like to consider just a little hint or a message saying the mission is complete to eliminate the chance for confusion then.

We will try the mission again to get that additional HQ objective.

Oh! Ok. Doveman, i remember you guys heard the music but did you get the HQ message? I was already dead at that point.

Variable, I was dead at that point as well, so we'll have to check with those who made it to the HQ alive (I think Horus was one of them). I would have thought if they'd got the message they wouldn't have been so confused about what they were supposed to be doing though and it certainly didn't sound like they'd seen or heard any messages.

Anyway, I guess next time we play it we can experiment with sending only STO to the Regroup point and then everyone to HQ compared to everyone going to the Regroup point (or at least one from each team) before going to HQ, to see if it makes a difference.

Поздрав Maven and thanks for this great scenario. I'm that other guy from STT team and we sweep AA site. In HQ we hear music but don't have any message. Reason for that is maybe we don't go through Regroup point?

Hi there. That's interesting, can you describe from which direction you came back to HQ? Once the music plays there's an effect I added and called it damping, it adds valley echoing, in other words once music plays the whole hill and the valley will echo it in full 3D and with dubbed deep effect, however it's a resource hungry addition, and since ArmA 2 supports only 16 samples it is possible that the music and soldiers movements (footsteps etc) removed the message. Was there a hint (text in upper right corner) when you came back to HQ?

As for regroup point, it's not mandatory, it's just a marked point. The only thing regroup point has is a vehicle for STT nearby. In fact, none of the objectives are mandatory either.

You took the right path back to HQ, no issues there. It seems like CBA/Mods might have conflicted with the audio somehow, specially the hint system. I'm not sure but I will give it a check. Can you also tell me, did you return to HQ on foot or in vehicles? Perhaps the server (host)'s machine wasn't able to trigger everything properly so I need to know in order to adjust triggers.

Edit: I forgot to ask. I noticed that mission name isn't that of the original. Have you or host maybe renamed the mission pbo from the original "[CO] [06] [uSMC] Sweepers [1.3b]" without quotations and have you tried to open it in the editor? Not sure but this can possibly cause some issues specially with the triggers.

Yes MAVEN, all the missions on the CiA server are renamed to meet a unified standard. With over a thousand missions on the server it's a must if you want to find any one of them.

This is the way we do it:

On mission.sqm we are removing the line briefingName="Mission name blahblah"; and Replace it with line briefingName="";

Then the server will read the file name as the mission's name, allowing us to rename it according to our convention.

We are using this method for years and It's the fist time I hear it might cause any trouble. What kind of errors might that cause and why?

I don't have much experience with how A2 engine works. But from experience with many games/editors I know that filenames, filetypes and name characters do have effect. It may not be the case with A2, however it's always good to be cautions.

It's ok that you renamed the mission to make it easy to access. However, if this bug persists, try to run the mission in original form and without mods then see what comes up. I tested the mission both offline and with friends on a private server in original form and with no mods, there were no issues. The reason why I made this mission for A2 and not A2:OA is so more people can play it, specially those who like Chernarus and those who don't use mods :)
