jakerod 254 Posted November 30, 2012 (edited) New Evidence of water found at Mercury Poles Well obviously this isn't it seeing as how it doesn't have to do with Mars. I had heard something about plastic being found on Mars but that turned out to be a hoax. Edited November 30, 2012 by Jakerod
walker 0 Posted November 30, 2012 Hi all It was some Bio Chemistry detected but NOT Difinitive signs of life. http://www.foxnews.com/science/2012/11/29/too-soon-to-declare-life-on-mars-nasa-says/ Kind Regards walker
Maio 293 Posted December 2, 2012 Shall we stay on topic :) ?
mrcash2009 0 Posted December 2, 2012 Shall we stay on topic :) ? Has NASA given is anything yet to stay on topic with? :p In the meantime ... NASA may be about to make an Historical Anouncement about Mars. You can get a double pack for half price? It doest actually help you work, rest & play? ... sorry, just waiting for the news.
krycek 349 Posted December 3, 2012 I had heard something about plastic being found on Mars but that turned out to be a hoax. Imagine if this was true,NASA scientist:"So what we have here are the remains of some martian smartphone".:p C'mon guys we all know that in the ancient times Mars was a lush planet with an advanced alien civilization that experimented with life here on Earth then another more badass civilization came and glassed Mars because I dunno maybe they didn't like that martians screwed around with genetics.NASA is just trolling us with stuff like this "so hmm hey we found sand on Mars". Ok,crazy conspiracy theory hat is off.:icon_lol:
gonk 0 Posted December 3, 2012 mars-rover-finds-simple-organics-but-results-not-yet-conclusive/ ...looks like my guess was correct... NASA must be after more funding so they Hype everything up....
instagoat 133 Posted December 4, 2012 mars-rover-finds-simple-organics-but-results-not-yet-conclusive/ ...looks like my guess was correct... NASA must be after more funding so they Hype everything up.... They are always after funding. The NASA budget, compared to pretty much everything else, is tiny. And while the military wastes billions of dollars on a stealth fighter that isn´t stealthy, overweight, underarmed and way, way over budget, NASA casually puts a Rover on Mars. What he says is that the US budget is 3 Trillion dollars. The US bailout exceeds the entire money NASA -ever- received during its existence. With the money wasted by the economy, we would have a moon colony, a mass driver to launch stuff into Orbit, and nuclear driven ships getting ready for manned missions to Jupiter while the Mars colony was already on its way. The problem is there is no political drive for space. In fact, NASA has fought off multiple attempts in the past to drastically cut their (miniscule) budget. But, politicians will always try to save where they can save easiest (also usually where they can save the least). Science/Education, Culture and Infrastructure/Social work. So NASA is always under pressure to find something. It´s not about increasing the budget (As in the EU, we need to buy more useless Eurocanards and develop expensive cargo planes that won´t ever see service), it´s about somehow convincing a generally anti-science, -extremely- short-sighted (by design) government apparatus that there´s a reason to spend the 2 bux 50 on things that leave the planet and don´t do anything here. If I had a choice, I´d relegate militaries (You wouldn´t believe how much money that´d save...) to games like Arma, and spend the money on developing a contained nuclear engine, fusion research and space assembly technology. Then off to Jupiter to mine H3. But that´s just me.
oxmox 73 Posted December 7, 2012 So it was more a hype than anything ?
MAVEN 1 Posted December 7, 2012 Nothing about that announcement is historical, except maybe that after centuries govt's and science organizations finally decide to let you know that yes, Mars has small organizms and some civilisations lived there (maybe they wont tell that still lol) while minority of powerful people already knew this ages ago and while "alliens" roam our planet, oops, I just spilled out a secret:butbut: actually no, it's not even a secret, even the internets have it all over the place, it just takes some good ol' 'net diggin':j: So yeah, it's all just a hype. But hey, nobody cares when he/she watches a fantasy movie if that stuff is not real or plays a game that is well, a game, as long it entertains, right? ;)
