Thanks!! Is there any documentation for configuring the headless client? I'd love to set this up and test it (and have the horsepower to do so).

No Experience with Headless client myself yet, however the following may help you:

To start the HC:

CMD /C START arma2oa.exe -client -localhost=127.0.0.1 -mod=@abc;@xyz -name=<headless client user name> -maxmem=250 -nosound -connect:<arma server name or ip address (recomended same system as server so localhost or 127.0.0.1)> -password:<server pw>

This will start the client in same kind of console window as the dedicated server (I tested it this far)

NOTE: you need a separate ArmA2 license for the headless client

To make sure AI is indeed local to the headless client I presume you need to use the new setOwner command: http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/setOwner

This does nothing. Instead, localClient[]={127.0.0.1}; needs to be added to the server.cfg.

I’m having a little trouble with v-sync in-game, if I enable it, it jumps around over 60fps sometimes into 70’s even though its enabled. Now if I disable it I get fps in the mid 80’s for the map I’m on which is ‘Esbekistan’ with a little going on ai wise, but say 55-65 average, small mission.

I have disabled the in-game v-sync and set it up via msi-afterburner, set to 57fps as this gives me a nice (no tearing) pretty constant rate, also better when driving, very smooth game with no no micro stutters etc. It works fine with msi, so I’m thinking there may be an issue with the in-game v-sync. I don’t usually have v-sync enabled in game, preferring to play with it disabled and set via msi (more precise), but I was testing out the new beta and noticed this happening, maybe just me..

Also;

Just to clarify as well, have the vehicle speeds been adjusted for in-game, the slower speed seems to have dropped a little, plus the normal speed seems to have also dropped. Not a bad thing, but good, as its more realistic, but just wanted it clarifying, noticed it off road driving, although I have stopped ‘ace’ so it could be that.

BTW, in these last beta patch, has the S&D WP been fixed?

as said in another post, there is some kind of problem with it:

if the unit doesn't detect an enemy unit after a while, they just stand there, doing nothing.

that's particularly annoying, especially when using an attack chopper.

I've experienced it quite often, with an apache hovering 50 meters above an area, whereas there are still enemy units alive.

Even if there are unresolved issues (https://dev-heaven.net/issues/62500) I'd still like to experiment with it in CQB.

I hope we release 1.63 this year. This current beta already seems very solid so we should be hopefully only weeks away from final 1.63 release (the only important feature that is not finished properly and is on our must list for 1.63 is secure id).

I have been experiencing the following crash about once per day, usually after 3-4 hours of server uptime. This has been happening since beta patch 98866 and still persists in 99202, which I am currently running. As an additional note, no changes have been made in the addons I have been running when the crashes started occurring. Same problem with 75ppl - 100ppl on the server after 10min - 4h working server crash. All info I send to Dwarden email.
