meshcarver 12 Posted November 15, 2012 Hey up, I've modelled a basic concrete wall, to act as a tillable fence like Berlin wall kind of thing. It's centred on the xyz zero correctly, but when I place it in the editor to make a 50 meter long length of it, as it's following the ups and downs of the terrain (Which it should do obviously) the top corners are rightly (But annoyingly!) not meeting up, as they're all at slightly different angle to each other because of the terrain. Is there a better way to sort this problem out, as it seems unsolvable..? Cheers, Marc

smokedog3para 365 Posted November 15, 2012 in rl walls are stepped on a incline why not make 2 sets 1 with angled at the top and 1 for flat ground the walls i made don't follow the terrain so i can step them which is more rl to me being a bricklayer by trade. http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?hl=en&rlz=1C1CHFX_en-gbGB495GB495&biw=1128&bih=680&tbm=isch&tbnid=8HIb_nhgL029oM:&imgrefurl=http://www.southendconstruction.com/services/brickwork&docid=xGP9WhGD74jGMM&imgurl=http://www.southendconstruction.com/uploads/image_640.jpg&w=640&h=480&ei=qhqlUIqGDoGc0QXK_oDIDA&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=452&vpy=298&dur=2&hovh=194&hovw=259&tx=70&ty=33&sig=106077190724254455960&page=4&tbnh=146&tbnw=193&start=60&ndsp=24&ved=1t:429,r:76,s:0,i:
Robster 11 Posted November 16, 2012 (edited) pfff bis walls has a named property on geo lod... placement = slope wall model must be facing z axys - front view then you can see how wall follows terrain gradient and it might look kind of a seamless plane... to know more about those check for named properties and oxygen documentation Edited November 16, 2012 by Robster
max power 21 Posted November 16, 2012 Thanks for your help, Robster, but what do you mean by 'pfff'?
