ARMA3 banned in Iran

Recommended Posts

Could be due to the fact that BI is NATO-Bias and has (proxy?) company that sells simulation software that might've been used to train for something like a war with Iran.

all my iranian friends are hardcore, almost all are fellow dedicated martial artists and enjoy a good fight - they would love the game!

but

Maybe if any words form the Qoran are present (like on the iranian flag?) this might not be sanctioned usage, and so constitutes legal blasphemy in Iran... it's like not putting in a swastika in a game that will be played in germany...

I do worry about causing offence when I look at mods etc - we have turkish muslim guys in our clan, and I'm always hoping we won't accidentally cross a line that we don't understand (being non-religious). Just thinking it through from their persepective - they're trying to hold back a wave of material from western media. very hard to do unless you do a north korea.

-redacted-

Tonci87 I owe you an apologies. Image was too small and I used prejudice in my statement.

I'm sure BIS have the good sense to react appropriately to unintended offensiveness if they are informed of it.

Also, to you offtopicers up there: I wonder how you'd react to somebody using this guy as their profile pic.

Though the discussion should end here. Let's not start any flame wars, especially completely unrelated ones, 'kay?

I gotta ask, who's this?

Josip Broz Tito, leader of Yugoslavia up to his death in 1980. Obviously, coming from a communist country with a diverse ethnic background, a controversial person that people call either a good leader, an oppressive dictator or something in between.

And again a swiss has to step in to obey a peace keeping process. Let me remind you, topic is about A3 being banned in Iran, nothing else. Last time i've checked the map, Iran wasn't exactly near the Balkan.

@_Massive & Tonci, you might want to edit your posts on last page, wouldn't you?

As I said. Acknowledged by me as well.

Anyhoo, how tight is the regulation on video games in the area of Iran? Cause I know that Saudi Arabia bans games, but barely enforces the bans, so you can find the games on shelves in the country.

Already done. Sorry again, I really though it has something to do with utter bad guys, and I sparked ( which is common for Balkans ).

Anyway things I said about nationalism still stands, and I would like all people to stop posting comment about who was the bad guy cause we all were at some point. Its about time to let it go, just dont mention it anymore but please dont forget, and learn to forgive.

That is all. I wont mention this anymore neither will comment on anything related to it here.

Cheers.

meh, Iranians. Went there last year, they even banned skype on the internet. I have to chat with my wife using gmail chat at that time.

Aren't they even planning to create their own little private internet and block the "real" internet completely? Pretty sure I read that a while back.

No goolge is still available but heavily censored.

Their ultimate goal is to create an Iranian Intraweb controlled by the government.

Yeah I think so. Kind of like the Great Firewall of China.

North Korea also has their own national intranet as well as government-approved operating system.

man, even Google service got banned now?

That's really bad, i have a pretty good experience there. Nice and friendly people even towards total strangers. Cant believe how their gov could be so stubborn with their policies causing damage to their economies and people.

Must be secretly selling their oil to china i guess.....

I guess they haven't banned all Google services as I had thought. They've only banned Google search and Gmail.

answer is simple, in their country pornography is banned, and you can find it via search engine of pictures , so it may be a one of reasons (of course not the only one) but probably it can

I think its ridiculous and i dont want to offense the iranian people, but they've got their laws i think its called Sariah which i think its extreamly abusive. As i said i have no problem with the common iranian people, i think they goverment,- the very few people who do these laws- are very bigott.
