And of course there are people who earn less than this. Some months ago I did talk to University students who will start their career as a teacher on schools, their income will be a lot less. But overall the average living costs are high if you compare the prices with the income. such salary ? liberal media propaganda, believe me, it is not that good, it is much worse, much much worse gross income is ca. 3500 gross, which gives ca. 2500 to hand, which is ca. 600 Euro to hand , but it is aritmetical average: - clerks, ministry workers, public servants etc. ca. 500-600 EU /month (i earn exactly 2300 PLN to hand being 2nd degree specialist, which is 547 EU, plus i have 8% gross due to "age" (in some instutions they pay for "age in institution, 1% by 1 year till you get 20 years) without this i would have 500 EU) - clerks in small companies, clerks in small offices - ca 400-500 EU per month - political s***, members of parliament, directors in ministry, *** in banks etc. - 5000 EU/month - policemen officers - 700 EU - army officers 1000 EU (those who will beat and shoot to us if we strike or revolt are payed twice as we) - judgdes, prosecutors (state) - even 3000 EU - advocates who not pay taxes (do not have incomes registered) - even 10 000 EU if he is company - workers in shops, maaaaaajority of people - 250 (poor regions) 300EU, 400 EU - propaganda workes (example TV mainstream journalists flaming opposition ) - 2000/3000 EU - average official gov. stats salary is ca (aritmetical average) ca 600 EU but you know... when you take 90 men with 1000, 5 men with 5000 and 5 men with 10 000 , average is 1650 - real mediana not aritmetical (when you walk with dog for stats you both have 3 legs) - ca 370 EU - foreign language teachers working in private companies - even 700 at ease - doctors - 700 maybe even 800 if dentist - my neighbor on fork lifter in warehouse - 450-570 depending of month - building worker skilled - even 1000 EU in big city (more than many educated people, so it is twisted upside down) in small city he can earn 300 - ex communist secret police retired pension - 1000-1500 (****) - Stalin era regime bloody judges (giving death punishment for national oposition in 50's) had even 3000 EU pension (as judge) - C++ coder, IT guy in bank - as above , 1000-1500 - 2h of work of "radny" (city hall parliament member) 500 EU, really , 2 h of work for political s***, - general, 2000 + flat, colonel 1500 - retired pension of usual working man ... 250-350 , - my mother retired pension (she was teacher in colledge, later in army, later in ministry) is 490 EU to hire 30 meter flat in block we have to pay 1000 PLN with my girl , which is very cheap, 250 EU, many people hire for 1500 flat in Warsaw (my city) flat bill is ca 100 EU electricity per month we pay ca 30 EU internet 15 EU for my connection (6/512) slower internet ca 12 EU, faaast net in some cable TV ca. 20 (10/1024) monthly ticket for public transport - 25 EU i would like to earn this average which you told, really 10 years ago after studies (Warsaw University of Technology) i earned.. 200 EU/month, really, i was logistic in printing house warehouse (ordering workers, warehouse stats, logistic in company), now 13 % is unemployed, 2 milions emigrated (cause there was over 20% of unemployment, cause we have no industry, cause all is "made in China")... really 1000 EU, i would like to have such money, those data which you show are not real to this land, i know lot of people earning less than 2000 PLN to hand, it is below 500 Euro, we do not have middle class majority like west, middle class in my country is maybe below 10% of people and they are located in big cities (by middle class i mean this average earned by all family members, own 50 sq m flat, VW Passat etc), we have poor majority, some poverty and small group of rich and extremly rich (Ferrari owners, RollsRoyce, Bentley) most of business are ex commie officers or their children , lawyers are from clans , family clans (and you can graduate but you won't get to controlled jobs cause there are "corporation exams") nepothism is everywhere :| http://www.slaweksniegocki.pl/srednia-placa-krajowa-2011-mit-oszustwo-czy-statystyka/ you can google translate it, somebody's blog (found in google, do not know who guy is) but there are stat data + explanation of counting "average" salary by GUS (central office of statistics in Poland) for example that 50% of people earn 1600-2700 gross, so it is ca. 1180-1900 to hand (280-470 EU) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Average Edited September 24, 2012 by vilas Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
