8800 GTX - lower then low settings?

hi me and my friend play dayz-

Run fine on my high end machine, arma series eats lot of high end stuff since arma 1---

he has a 8800 GTX . 4 Gig Ram on win764, E4500@3Ghz and all settings on lowest, latest drivers.

Still only 15-30 FPS on a good server. all is low off.

so arma was never ment for the medium gamer and never will ok..

and dazy is a mod yeah i get it...

but can he do some stuff, perhaps go lower ( 3d screen resulution aka downsampling dont give any frames more)

Perhaps disable HDR? i dont see an option in the cfg

any tipps?

Lowering the resolution should help in some areas, but in cities it's cpu limited so there it doesn't help.
