Errors: "Uses Modified data file" / "Battle-Eye needs to be updated"

Dear users,

I have searched the forums but could not find any help, tried Youtube etc for some answers which I have followed to no avail.

I brought Arma 2 + OA during the Steam Summer Sales, and I just managed to install Arma 2 the other day. Since then I have attempted numerous times to play on the Multiplayer matches. At the end of the "Receiving Data.." popup I get an error in the chat console at the bottom left of the screen which says:

"Todd uses modified data file - C:\Documents and Settings\Todd\Local Settings\Application Data\ArmA 2\MPMissionsCache\co40_Domination_2_60z_West_A2.Chernarus.pbo".

Once I get this message it kicks me back to the server list. Sometimes this happens and sometimes I do manage to get into a server for about 30 seconds before I get told that I don't have the latest battle-eye installed.

I don't see why I am receiving all these problems as it was a fresh install direct from Steam, no mods installed. I've used the battle-eye installer that came with Arma 2 to reinstall battle-eye. Even went on the battle-eye website.

I also receive other errors such as Scripts not found. Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 errors saying "An unhandled win32 exception occurred in arma2.exe [5864]."

Other uses state it's a common problem with Arma2. Does anyone know whats causing all these errors?

I don't have an up to date pc but it is better than the minimum spec.

Todd did you try to delete the file yet?

C:\Documents and Settings\Todd\Local Settings\Application Data\ArmA 2\MPMissionsCache\co40_Domination_2_60z_West_A2.Chernarus.pbo

I have tried deleting the files, still no luck unfortunately. The game would just hang on "Receiving Data..."

I do not have Operation Arrowhead installed, I have a feeling I should install that also to get the game working?

Its due to the fact I have very limited internet, 4gig a month on a USB cellular dongle.
