I don´t know where it goes! But what I know is - that I would maybe never come back from Chernarus!

[snip]... I'm sure that most of the normal ArmA community is content as well.[snap]

Will DayZ-standalone have the capability to use mods?

Will ArmA3 be capable to use the DayZ-standalone as a mod?

No, both of that won't be possible.

Though DayZ might be opened up for modifications later after the release. But initially, it has to be very secure and controlled to deliever the best experience.

Though DayZ might be opened up for modifications later after the release. But initially, it has to be very secure and controlled to deliever the best experience.

In addition, here's one look at the issue from Arma 3 SITREP #00009:
I do not believe for a moment we can have both freedom and fully secure MP without serious restrictions. The only seemingly valid method would be an approach taken by the DayZ project via its MMO architecture. Keep in mind this concept does not gel with Arma 3 as it was designed - it means all client actions are validated on a server, and this makes client-side modding and scripting much more difficult. Acceptable for DayZ, not for Arma 3. We will however do our best to improve security, reduce vulnerabilities and walk the fine line between freedom and security based on your feedback.
The boldfaced part seems to confirm my belief that the decision was made to create a specific engine iteration instead of using Real Virtuality 4 not only because RV4 was so WIP as of August last year, but because such a level of restriction -- that is, even at modding's expense -- was desired by the DayZ devs or at least Rocket, which would have pulled RV4 in opposing directions.

Those crafting and diary pics have nothing to do with the standalone.

The title is misleading, there isn't a confirmation from Rocket of a PS4 release, only voicing his understandable misgivings about Xbox One as a platform... although it does suggest that apparently BI was somehow in Microsoft's eyes a publisher as far as Carrier Command: Gaea Mission was concerned but not a publisher as far as DayZ is concerned. :p

im not sure DayZ would be playable on PS4 or XBOX 1 as those CPU's are running at 1.8GHz and A2/A3 don't use multi core's real well :(

If I recall, the most that Rocket would say re: PS4 was that if the PC version does well, the DayZ devs would throw the standalone onto a devkit and see what happened.

Does someone knows if we will be able to buy the game through bistore?

I see no reason why not; I can't see any reason that Valve would somehow make the game impossible to buy anywhere except the Steam Storefront (as some of the "fearers" about Arma 3's Steamworks announcement seemed to be confused about, which is not the case), so BI Store would presumably sell Steam keys just like with Arma 3.

Yeah, an answer to this would be very much appreciated, it's been 5 days now and no word on when they might return at all, I can't imagine what has been done to them to warrant this kind of down time, especially as these forums have been back online now for the past couple of days.

Thanks.

Perhaps try the official DayZ twitter? They're a different entity to here.

the 'cleanup&recovery' of DayZmod forums will take longer than BIForums ... so please be patient
