Welcome to the TK thread, this is the place for all discussion and feedback regarding the Tarin Kot terrain.

This is the second public version of this terrain, I hope it will provide greatly enhanced gameplay and a closer representation of the unique Afghan variety of the area. Please keep in mind this map is still in the early stages of development and I want to hear what you think of it.

New Features:

• Reworked Compounds for improved gameplay and realism

Known Issues:

Water in irrigation channels and river flickering

Some vehicles cannot drive along the embankments (Strykers and Quad bikes) others may encounter loud collision noises

Good to see you are still continuing work on the map, I hope you do release it for A2 and not just A3.

Yes the plan is to release it for A2 and people can put into A3 if they want possibly with a different config.

Absolutely brilliant map, very fun to play on. So far this is one of our favorite maps.

We're running this map 24/7 on our public ACE Insurgency server. Just put [3CB] in your filter ;)

Well I've been working on the arma 2 and 3 versions of the map, they will be basically the same although for technical reasons the arma 3 version will use some different objects. Currently I'm setting up the groundwork to make an arma 3 release of TK possible when that's done I'll have some news. As to when the release of both versions is going to be, "Coming in 2014". :)

M8 have you ever developed a Tarin Kot MNB template for this map? That'll be awesome for some Aussie units to do ops with.

BTW What do you mean with "different objects"? Using the arma 3 buildings instead of the A2:OA ones?

Yes, MNB Tarin Kot is part of the map - I'm sure someone from the aussie community will be kind enough to setup a mission template with the right units.

Yes, Arma 3 has some enhanced versions of arma 2 objects used on TK which I'll use for the arma 3 version.
