db8385 1 Posted July 15, 2012 So I unpacked someone else's pbo file and started making my own changes and additions to the map. I have the mission completed with my changes, but I don't know how to remove their clan picture at the intro. I want to remove their's and put mine in it's place to make the map and mission truely mine. Any help would be appreciated. KC Grimes 74 Posted July 15, 2012 I would check to make sure you are allowed to do that in the first place. Ownership rights are the worst of arguments. So, by intro do you mean loading screen or intro as in you are past the briefing screen and the mission has technically started? That'll help people here guide you. But what is better than being guided is doing the discovering on your own. Pictures in ArmA are generally in .paa format. So you could start by looking through the files in that mission folder and seeing if you can find a .paa extension file. Then, take that name and do a "Search in file" through Notepad++. Or just "Search in File" the extension of .paa, or .jpg/.jpeg. Search in file is one of my best friends. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
db8385 1 Posted July 15, 2012 Yeah I just want to change the loading screen. I have a paa image already created that I want to use. I just want to get their clan image removed so I can add mine instead. The loading screen shows their image currently for about 15 seconds, and than you go to the briefing screen. Just FYI, replacing the titles and/or credits of a mission after editing it is not a cool stunt unless you've gotten explicit consent from the original maker. db8385 1 Posted July 15, 2012 Nothing that they had in the map is the same. I only used their map for the purposes of getting the latest domination 2 map type. The base they had is nothing like what they created, its not even in the same location, i am moved it to the northern airbase in Takistan instead of the the southern airfield.
