ARMA 2: OA beta build 94444 (1.60 MP compatible build, post 1.60 release)

I'm not sure why you guys are all of a sudden complaining so much about the lack of changelog data. There have been betas without updates in the changelog for as long as I can remember.

That said, a little more transparency as to what has been changed/fixed would definitely be appreciated so we know what to look for. Kinda hard to test fixes when you don't know what was fixed. :p

I tested it and found some really interesting stuff, but I'm not going to tell you what it is.

Why so mean? - c'mon, take pity on us lesser mortals!

I expected that someone else would have mentioned it but: Me and my friends recently have a really hard time hearing eachother over directchat, it used to be quite alright, but now its hard to get more than a whisper, even with mic and voip volume at 100%.

I usually use TS3 so I don't normally notice, but I did notice that the in-game chat seemed quieter than usual (I max out VON volume in-game as well).

hello all, just wanted to inform you guys. i am not a expert or very knowledgeable about using the commands and all that, but i did test this beta in both arma 2 benchmark 1 and operation arrowhead benchmark. there was a big difference in fps. with the vanilla was getting 34fps in arma 2 and in OA was getting 48fps. with beta i get 48fps for arma 2 and 58fps for OA. and my rig is fairly old. AA is disabled and most other setting are either disabled or set low. view distance is around 4000. thanks BI don't know what was done in this beta but i can tell a difference, not as much stuttering and LOD stuff..

im not sure if this is the correct forum for this but here's my problem anyway: I recently downloaded the combined operations, and needed to download the Beta patch ARMA2_OA_Build_94444.zip, i click download but it doesnt download, it attempts to load the screen and prepare the download but it just downt do anything else, eventually the page times out, my internet is absolutely fine and i can load any other page within 1 second, please help, its really annoying me

Same order as in OMJ1.60 set. Note the screw-up on removing the MAWS.

3rd set: a mission called Invasion Chernogorsk by Coronel_Niel using 94444.

On selecting the M16 ACOG GL, all the rifle ammo disappears.

@geraintm6: try right-clicking on the link then "save as", & when the box opens with the name of the zip file displayed hit "OK".

The repro, where magazines in helicopter disappear is not really a bug.

Helicopter can carry only 150 magazines (and you used full capacity). So when you want to drop more magazines in your heli, there is no space and magazines are dropped on a gound (true, not very handy when in heli...).

I will try to disable automatic magazines dropping if there is no space.

Any news on this Direct Chat bug being fixed? Me and a whole lot of other people are experiencing it. Some guys on the Day Z forums are experiencing it as well, however when I tried to use it outside of Day Z in normal co-op missions with friends, it still did not work. Helicopter can carry only 150 magazines (and you used full capacity). So when you want to drop more magazines in your heli, there is no space and magazines are dropped on a gound (true, not very handy when in heli...).

I will try to disable automatic magazines dropping if there is no space.

I got some weird behavior in Warfare on Chernarus with this beta. After eliminating the red base there were still some rogue reds left on the map. After those were eleminated I lost lost all my strongpoints/camps in one moment and they turned red. HQ anounced those camps lost accompanied by a lot of lag. I replayed that mission from the start twice, allways the same behavior. After rolling back to 94364 and restarting that mission everything went normal.

Maybe someone can confirm anything alike in 94444?

for some weeks now me and some of my Clan members are having a very annoying issue.

Since Beta Version 93415 and up to the actual Version 94444 the ammo / weapon crates and the gear loadout are acting strange.

with Beta 93398 everything is fine. I tested all the Betas back to these versions and 93415 is definitely the one the problem starts with!

Be aware, it ONLY happens in Multiplayer, no difference if Vanilla or not....only MP!

The thing is this, in the loadout screen you can replace weapons and gear from your loadout by doubleclicking the list on the left side (or the content of a crate i.e.). a fast way to switch weapons or maybe replace a HE rocket against an AT rocket.

starting with this beta the weapon / ammo you had in your loadout disappears when you doubleclick on a new item! Gone. no chance to get it back. So this is really annoying when you doubleclick on a Stinger and you had a Javelin on your back before......because the Javelin launcher will be gone forever!

if you drop the gear with "drop" button, everything works fine, but this is no option for me because it takes to much time and is not very comfortable to use.

Could you please fix this?

No need for Demo Mission, just load this beta or newer, start an MP session and try to change gear by doubleclicking on the new item. You will lose your old weapon and cant be recovered from anywhere.....and no, its not lying around on the ground near the crate.

every member of my clan with this Beta or newer has the same Problem.

Please fix this!
