I wanted to note here that included in the documentations folder under the readmes that there is a Removed Files List, this list is as follows:

to make compatible with I44 mod:

Hello Günter,

I like everything you inclued the only things i don't like is the SMK i thinks its a good mod but not for i44. The player is moving like a delta force or special force soldier in the WW2 a lot of guys were only trained to fire and where only basic trained they didn't know how special movement only a few forces know them SMK can only be good to hide your ass behind a wall :D for sure that's good but i don't like the anims.

For the main menu:

I play an other game called Company of Heroes a beautiful strategic game with a mod called Blitzkrieg-Mod they have a loading screen with a KonigsTiger and the name of the mod

I think take a capture of a vehicule ingame or something like that and write the mod name cool be nice.

Other things for your main menu :

My friends created the "Dicke Bertha" or "La Grosse Bertha" called in french, Maybe we could send you a nice picture of it, its actually a Wip but that can be cool for a loading screen say what you think about that.

The mod is in the customization folder, so its not actually in the mod or ingame as in the addons folder til you add it, I left that up to the player,

I personally dont use it. whether its realistic, or feels realistic is up to the user/player, if you dont like it then remove it.

For the loading screen its almost out of my hands, all I have are the configs to set it up, other then that I have no way to convert a jpg to a paa which is what I need.

I have text2view which worked when I first used it but it does not work no matter what I do. Normally have I have my buddy do all the graphics and stuff for me

in photoshop, and convert the pics (jpg) into a paa but right now I'd have to setup a time with him to work on this stuff.

I wish there was another way i can convert a pic to paa other then Photoshop, i already have gimp2 but that dont work.

Hi Günter did you remove the RLE compression on the paa picture ? I use gimp and I had this problem a few month ago check this, if that don't work I can help you and try to make it as paa too

Dyls17 I have not done anything for the mod other then the latest v 1.1 update for it, nor am i working on any pic or loading screen atm.

For the loading screen any pictures I use for a loading screen first must be edited/made, and then converted to paa, I cannot do either

I do not have those skills, I do have a close friend that normally does my graphics work.

When i get a hold of him I will work with him on a pic that has COWarMod pic and an I44 pic meshed.

also thanks for the link to the thread on I44 website forum, i had responded accordingly.

Lets understand and this goes to everyone interested in I44 and CoWarModI44, I am not associated with I44, nor they me.

COWarModI44 was my creation, it is just a compatible version of COWarMod v 1.1 made comaptible with I44.

I think someone posted updated configs in another thread for the weapons and it may need the classes of soldiers in this mod as well to actually work properly. I am not sure what needsd to be done, perhaps if Robalo is interested in I44 as well? :)

Ok. I see what your saying, i will look into it further. ASRAI isn't in COWarModI44 addons folder by default as it was removed to be added by the player if they want it.

Update

After i release the latest version of COWarMod v 1.2 which is due to release soon, I plan on updating this version of

COWarMod to included the latest files from v 1.2 as well as some possible additions, idk atm.

I will need someone to test for me the files I will list, but i will post again when im ready to start this update.

if you think you can test for me then please post your reply, I'm probably looking at maybe next weekend (June 30/July 1st weekend) to do this.

Hello! First of all. I have to say im pretty new to these sort of mods. Is there some sort of configuration i need to do before I can start using it? Like ACE mod? I installed the mod normally and added it to the I44 shortcut: "-windows -nosplash -mod=@CBA;@CBA_OA;@CBA_A2;@I44;@CowarmodI44" So far i cant see any huge changes ingame. What exactly should I do if I want the maximum AI improvements ingame? I am mostly interested in the AI improvement part of this mod. Thank you!

No there isn't. Only in COWarMod alone there is, not in the I44 compatible version.

Well your not going to see huge changes ingame, as COWarModI44 is not a total conversion mod, it has addons and mods in it that change

various aspects of your game, all depends on what features you add too, but in the folders:

@COWarModI44\Documentation Folder\FEATURES, there is a rtf file (readme) that lists all the addons and mods in COWarModI44 and what they do.

The changes ingame are not huge, but if you know what your looking at you will see the changes, thing is I44 mod does alot, and the addons and mods in

CoWarModI44 are the only mods I have found to work with I44, im sure theres more but I have most of them.

COWarModI44 is customizable. In the AI enhancement part of the mod seen here:

@COWarModI44\Customization Folder\AI Enhancement

you will fnd many AI enhancement addons and mods, but review the readme titled AI Enhancement directory.

For AI I would recommend the following addons/mods to add:

ARD

ASR AI

Infantry Stealth and Recognition Skills

Mechanized Infantry Tactics Addon

SLX AI

tpw_ai_los

tpwc_ai_suppress

All you need to add those is put the pbo files bisign if there is one in the @CoWarMod/ addons folder.

Launch your game and, get a mission going and well..watch your back lol

Its a site that compiles all the I44 missions from the community in one place.

The site has been opened up to the public as of Monday and there are still various aspects of the site being built, theres not alot of missions on there yet,

as I a currently adding them.

Right now the missions from Armaholic that I have compiled are being added to the site,

but more will come, in another week the site should have 50+ missions for I44 from sp, to coop, and mp, ect,.

Hey thanks for the response. I loaded up the AI enhancement mods and the AI improved alot, but i have two problems. First of all if I put SLX_AI files in the cowarmodi44 addons folder Arma wont start and it gives an error: "Include file @coslx\addons\slx.hpp not found".

Second, when i loaded the All the AI enhancement mods (except slx) and tested ingame when ever my squad was being shot at the screen started to "fade" in black and fade out. What mod feature is this? I would like to remove it.

Note: I have CowarmodI44 1.0 and manually installed the 1.1 and 1.2 patches.

That fading is because you are being suppressed bt the enemy, theres actually 2 mods that do this, but what I suggest is remove one,

then test your game again, and then return it, then remove the other test, ect,.

the 2 files:

slx_suppression_effects.pbo

tpwc_ai_suppress_304

also note that the 2nd file that has the same name (bisign) always goes with the pbo file, so if you delete one file, then remove the bisign too.

other notes:

with SLX suppression you will get suppressed if you are shot at, but you wont be able to suppress the AI with this file.

With tpwc_ai_suppress_304 you will get suppressed and you will also be able to suppress the AI.

Note: I have CowarmodI44 1.0 and manually installed the 1.1 and 1.2 patches.

Good deal then the mod is up to date.

I would like to report a bug:

3 Shermans attack german position. Lead Sherman crew suddenly bails out and stands around playing "equip" animation. Shermans havent taken any damage at all.

This happened during my custom mission. Nothing more than 3 shermans in same group attacking german position.

Edit: Bailing out was caused by: mechinftac.pbo

The "strange animation" bug is still there thought.. When ever sherman crew bails out the crew just stands there and plays "equip" animation over and over.

From the list you have there, your not even the running the full mod from what I had put together.

Are you reporting on COWarMod or CoWarModI44?

There is a distinct difference in the setup of files, if your using COWarMod with I44 and not COWarModI44, I suggest you do that,

as i had done alot of testing, and research to find the mods that would work and be compatible with I44, I've still yet to find more files that are not working.

Accurate reports will be based on the full downloaded version of the mod, as that is what I compare results too, however the mod being customizable results

can vary to an certain extent.

You have a few things in your list that do nothing when running with I44:

mounted_mg_dispersion.pbo

this does nothing in I44 as it uses modern mounted mgs a reason why I did not include it in CWMI44

sakudriver2.pbo

was found to break campaign and stock missions, this fix... made AI drivers pull off

the road and drive through the country direct to where they were ordered vs taking

the road to the same destination.

does nothing in I44 as its for modern day helicopters

I would suggest removing:

and testing and see if that solves the problem.

there may still be bug files that i've yet to discover, but overall the mod works pretty good.

yes it is customizable. The creation of the I44 compatible version of COWarMod was to use all possible existing addons and mods with I44 to enhance an overall experience,

but i had to remove numerous addons and mods as some conflicted, some didn't do anything, and some (alot) wouldn't of worked in a WW2 environment, as well there are no helicopters, modern day tanks, fighter jets, ect,.

But I guess what matters is the components in the mod that you like the most that do work and improve the I44 experience enable you to enjoy your game alot more then thats what matters,

I was never intending to belittle what you did, or what you like, just it was sorta of out of context of what I had explained above in terms of making the full version of COWarMod work with I44.

Some are in the customization folder, and tbh when i relook at my own mods, my knowledge and awareness of files have

changed, as I have been working quite a bit with configs, and files, and other things, so testing stuff now is a bit different then it was when I first was putting the mod together.

For me getting questions and feedback about the mods, be they issues or just questions about features, it helps me improve my own mods even more, as it forces me to look at

different aspects of files that I may not have looked at in the same way before, I am very open to bettering the mod.

But I suggest you make the mod a little less complicated to customize and better documentation for noob users like myself.

What would you suggest, as the customization is basically drag and drop, so i really dont see what the complication is, if you wanted to add a file from the

AI enhancement folder in the customization then you refer to the readme, read about the features of the files, and then grab the files you want and put

What about the documentation, what dont you understand, or are having a hard time figuring out?

Suggesting I make this less complicated, and better dont really say anything as to what issues or problems you seem to be having, i cant change anything unless i know there is a problem or something not clear enough somewhere. the readmes and folder setup took some time to setup and create, alot of typing, and alot of research on files, if I had my honest way, there would be no readmes, but then as massive as the mod is, and customizable too, if i didn't say anything then i'd get a hundred questions on the thread here.

Help me help you improve the mod, and i will.

Hi, no sorry, i will no longer support the mod, other then answer questions.

No point on being on pw6 anyways if it wont be updated anymore.

Thanks for the reply Gunther, I guess I'll just launch it manually. Your great work on the ifwarmod got me into i44 again. Endless fun to be had. You and the team have really opened up the possibilities for WW2 in arma. Cheers!
