EvilSide 1 Posted May 28, 2012 im having trouble playing arma 2 free i have downloaded the game and the message i get is "this application has failed to start because d3dx9_41.dll was not found re-installing the application may fix this problem" can anyone help??? [frl]myke 14 Posted May 28, 2012 Do you have DX9 installed? Be aware that DX needs to installed even if you already have a higher version like DX11. ArmA 2 is a DX9 game and therefor needs the DX9 files which aren't part of higher versions. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Do you find a DXsetup in your ArmA II Free client ? if yes then use it, choose install . I suppose every installer game have DirectX setup file inside .
