Using dayz-zombies in your own map/editor

When you start the game with the dayz mod being activated, you can deploy dayz zombies in the editor. They look and move like dayz but they don't grunt nor attack you (by no means - even when you group them with a higher ranked non-present opfor unit or add a bad rating to yourself or set them to combatmode "red" or hostilify blufor and civilian with each other or whatever).

Seeing those zombies appear in the editor made me :yay: but finding out they are more or less useless made me :(

The Zombies will act like Cows or Chickens in the Editor i guess.

All the attackicg stuff and behavior may be scripted in the MP-Mission. MAYBE there will be an Module which allows using the zombies in own missions.

Since DayZ is an Alpha there will go some time, also the devs should have work enough with the huge success and attention their great work got.

The weapons should work, maybe this gives you some consolation.

You might be better off using some other zombie scripts on the DayZ units if you really want to use them. DayZ likely uses script libraries stored on the server to control the zombies, meaning you won't have them available on your client at all.
