Unable to play with Crossfire Enabled (2 6950s)

Recommended Posts

I am having weird issues when trying to play with Crossfire enabled.

My Specs:

Intel Core i7 950 @ 3.2GHz

Gigabyte X58A-UD3R Rev 2.0

12.0GB G.Skill DDR3 1600

2x 6950 CFX (Unlocked Shaders)

Driver Packaging Version 8.961-120405a-137813C-ATI

Catalyst Version 12.3 (This should say 12.4 but for whatever reason it doesn't)

Provider Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.

2D Driver Version 8.01.01.1243

2D Driver File Path /REGISTRY/MACHINE/SYSTEM/ControlSet001/Control/CLASS/{4D36E968-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}/0000

Direct3D Version 7.14.10.0903

OpenGL Version 6.14.10.11631

Catalyst Control Center Version 2012.0405.2205.37728

The issue I am having when Crossfire is enabled is the game is very dark (regardless of Brightness/Contrast settings either ingame or desktop). Constant flickering and rolling black lines on the screen. It happens with Vsync On and Off.

I know this game isn't that great with multi-GPU scaling but with 1 card I average in the 30s, with 2 at least I'm in the 50s or so.

Anyone else out there running into Crossfire Problems?

I suspect that there is an issue with the CCC install - it definitely should say 12.4 if you have installed that version. Try reinstalling the drivers. To me it sounds as if one of the GPUs hasn't been updated properly.

This issued happened on older driver versions as well and crossfire works fine on other games, it's an ArmA only problem

AMD uninstaller is not good.... use last atiman uninstaller 6.3.1 clean all AMD staff from system and then in safe mod use CCleaner. Install last AMD driver 12.5 Beta 8.97 April 18 then last CAP 12.4.

Report if this help you :)

No luck. Still a problem.

As soon as I save up a bit of money I am getting rid of these AMD cards and going Nvidia, I am sick of AMD's drivers
