Remove fire rate from weapon?

Does anybody know of a way to remove a certain fire rate from a weapon in the init line? What I am trying to do is make a mission with mexican cartel gunmen using US civilian AK's and AR15's and I want to remove the auto fire rate from the M4A1 and AKM. Is there a way to do that without really heavy scripting?

There is no way to do this, firing rate/firing types is based in the weapons config. Those cannot be changed with scripting in-game.
