About what Wiki write:

You need two things to mark completed missions as completed in mission menu.

In your description.ext file you must place this line:

doneKeys[]={"MissionName"};

In your trigger/script which ends the mission you need to add code:

activateKey "MissionName";

But im sure that guys from Unsung mod know about this :)

Well yes correct, and what I mean in the other question is:

Do we have single Missions where we play as regular soldiers instead of a Special Force guy? Like as a Soldier in the 1st Cav in Ia Drang, or maybe a Marine in Khe Sahn?

Yes there will be single missions in our next release. However its up to the mission guys what map they make them on and what units they use. So at this stage its still up in the air :)

if you can, can you make heuy's with these insingnias

here are some suggestions

I would love to see Hueys with those Markings! But it will have to be a UH1B/C. Does this mod Have UH1B/C variant or just UH1D?

Yes we have the C models in gunship configuration and green hornet livery too

And also for the Markings, can we customize them? For example: Letting us choose the marking textures by using the init function; For example we can choose to use US Army Markings or the Marines.

Short answer No. The author of the huey's CSJ is busy at the moment and has taken time away from the mod to focus on his studies. Even if he gives us his MLODS for the choppers we currently do not have the manpower to start that project. :/ Sorry

Hey all,

Well we are still moving forward time for a bit of an update and some eye candy to keep you interested.

Campaign/Missions

The mission guys are continuing work on the campaign we can now reveal is called : Operation Copperhead

You are Captain Jack Campbell from the special forces southern highlands command bought in to take charge of Camp Oscar. Survive numerous VC attacks on the SF base and surrounding villages while you retrain the local CIDG forces and build relations with the local populous. Go on recon, rescue and support missions following a progressive original storyline. However, watch out for the hardened NVA forces also entering the AO they will try to oust you to take control of this strategic area as they move down from the north. It's up to you and a specialised team to turn the tide and keep your AO under US control.

Sounds

We have also remixed all our weapon sounds to match as closely as possible to the real thing. However , it still gives you that punchy feeling like you actually holding the gun in your hand. Also we are expanding the sound side of things to take you deeper and immerse you in jungle operations of Vietnam. Now you will actually hear the VC and the screams for help from your wounded team mates, plus a few other surprises.

I hope this will help breathe life atmosphere created campaign.

Purple Heart

wonderful songs about the Vietnam War, written and sung by Jim Tolbert (Jim Tolbert), served and make a lot of raids in Vietnam in the 5th group of Green Berets.

His songs, including "Purple Heart", has never been the anthem of the Special Forces, but they are often twisted in Vietnam, as well as on radio stations in Fort Bragg in the period 1967-68. Even 40 years later, the song "Purple Heart" is still very well remembered by many Special Forces soldiers since Vietnam.

Hello, when this comes out im gonna make a MP campaign. But focusing on what unit? I want the unit to be a grunt or specialized one (7th CAV, 18th EB, 23rd ID, 173rd AD, 101st AD). Yes, Army, not USMC. Does anybody know about a Regiment or more specific Batallion in an Army regular (USMC if you have a good suggestion) This Regiment/Batallion must have taken place in numerous battles/opeeations.

@andy mcnab the songs you mentioned has already put in even the green beret song :) i will have a listen to the purple heart song you mentioned too. Theres a good song by country joe mcdonald "kiss my ass" i found to be Suitable for our campaign and damn funny too :)

@ commanderjbug, sorry mate no a7 , i personally would love to see this bird make an enterance to arma 2 but we really dont have the time right now : /

Hey guys , bit of an update we are still working away. However, we have hit a snag and can't continue without the skill of a modeler to remove our rucksacks from our east units. So unless someone out there can help us out in this department , we cannot proceed. So again if you have skill in O2 modelling and actually able to help out please contact me ASAP.

it should take me a couple of weeks once I have the new mod/islands

anyway we brought a lot of stuff int othe mission like RH weapons and F4, so planning to strip it back to your mod and islands this time

glad to hear you're making a RUG_DSAI_VC - we made one for ourselves but the sounds came from other games so was never an ideal candidate for public release!

it makes a big difference

WIP REPORT # 4

Ok, time for a small update to let you all know we are still here and work is continuing.

To reply to eggbeast comment above regarding a Rug style DSAI module , the man himself Wolfrug was kind enough to start the framework for us years ago. Since then we have expanded it to include uns_DSAIenglish -English used in that period , uns_DSAIviet - VC/NVA native Vietnamese, and our latest Uns_DSAICIDG - Viet/english.

These new additions should work with all previous releases of Rugs_dsai, however it has not been fully tested. We will be building on this with subsequent releases with the help of our voice actors.

Also there is 2 other surprises in the mix that I personally wanted to add years ago way back when we released R1, unfortunately at the time it was decided to shelve it.

However, with the help and skill of Columdrum our main scripter/config man, it is in game and working just how it was imagined years ago. It really adds to the immersion and we hope take you deeper into the jungle than ever before. While its not a new scripting idea, it will be delivered in a totally new way.

To quote bigstone our long-time friend and advisor - Its "Awesome"

On another note, and after much deliberation we have decided to shelve our campaign "Operation Copperhead" for now due to manpower, time restrictions and other mod related issues. As a team we felt that it was a better course of action to concentrate on getting the mod out to the community without further delaying it. Since, there is quite a large amount of voice dialogue to be implemented, it would of drastically pushed back the release date of 2.5.

However , the mission team have been working on some really cool single & Multi-player missions that will be released with the mod.

And for those who may ask.....No release date as yet :( sorry

So that's it for now...
