Smoke:

------

Smoke rounds now available for all AT launchers. Intended for multiplayer "look at my smoke" scenarios. Large-bore AT launchers (MAAWS and RPO-A) have large area cover smoke. Small-bore AT launchers (RPG-7, MRO-A, SMAW) have marker smoke rounds. Inventory requirements for smoke rounds are less than standard AT rounds.

Backpacks and ammo crates:

"Assistant AT Gunner" packs are available for all new ammunition types. Additional pre-loaded Weapon + Ammunition packs are available as well. Ideal for MP backpack heaps. "Heavy Grenadier" Ammo crates contain all new ammunition types and launchers for either East or West.

Weapons:

--------

Pistol versions are new in this release. They use the same magazines and are found in the Heavy Grenadier ammo boxes. The Mk13 and M79 pistol versions use the default BIS models via a proxy and therefore can't animate.

The RG-6 launcher is fully animated and uses new 6-shot VOG-25 magazines in HE, Smoke, and Flare, as well as default VOG-25 magazines.

The GM-94 launhcer uses new thermobaric grenades and can also use VOG-25 grenades.

The MRO-A and RPO-A launchers use thermobaric RPGs.

The TBG-7V thermobaric grenade is used in the RPG-7.

Thermobaric grenades are fuel-air explosives that produce concussion without large HE effect. The GM-94 grenades are designed for CQB scenarios and have a blast range of only 3 meters. The MRO-A and RPO-A thermobaric RPG launchers have significantly higher indirect blast effects.

Single-shot launchers Mk13 and M79 can now use 6-shot magazines. This allows them to carry pistol ammunition since it frees up the pistol ammunition slots.

Units:

The Heavy Grenadier units use faction-appropriate launchers (RG-6, GM-94, and M79 for East units; M32, Mk13, and M79 for West units). MRO-A and RPO-A units are present for both East and West factions. Every default BIS faction now has at least one new "Heavy Grenadier" unit. They are also armed with a pistol/PDW depending on faction. All Heavy Grenadiers are equipped with 14-slot backpacks for "mule" duties.

Civilian police units (Chernarus and Russian) are armed with the RG-6 with smoke and flare rounds!

The new "Heavy Grenadier" preloaded backpacks are available in the editor under "Empty > Backpacks". The pre-loaded backpacks are equipped with the specified launcher and grenade magazines.

New "Heavy Grenadier" ammo crates with grenade launcher rounds are available in the editor under "Empty > Ammo".

Stringtable localizations were made through online translator and may not be ideal.

Sight uses M16 sight, but is calibrated so you actually look through the sight and not the weapon when launching grenades:

The MRO-A is based on the RPG-18 and as such uses the same model since they are essentially the same with a different warhead.

If I could figure a way to get the animations working correctly when using the pistol slot I'd add a pistol-slot version of the launchers. However it always places the launcher in the wrong position on the soldier.

A pistol slot version would be cool, i remember the OFP Falklands war mod has an M79 configured for a pistol slot, it should be possible.

Dysta thanks for that vid! I will see what I can do with the reload times. Pretty sure the ammo reload time can be tweaked no problem.

I have tried making the magazine reload times longer, but the animation apparently can't be slowed down. Perhaps the animation can be replayed? It looks strange you're standing there waiting for the counter to turn green for a few seconds, but it doesn't seem correct that the launcher takes as long as a rifle mag change. That video is at the target range, so it seems logical that it could take up to a minute if you're fumbling with pouches on your gear while in a combat situation. But for gameplay sitting there for 1 minute seems like a stretch. So perhaps for gameplay about a 15 second reload time would be a good compromise.

Uh, for the reloading speed, I think you can do nothing about it, since BIS M32 is also reloading as fast as a rifle magazine (Except the mounted M32 in Ka-60).

I've managed to tweak the RG6 a little! :)

I also built a Russian GM-94 launcher! :) The dimensions are very close; I altered them slightly so they look correct when being held in the hand.

It is a little too shiny. I am not sure how to tweak the RVMAT. The texture is a picture from the web that was resized. Had to REALLY darken it to keep it from looking cartoonish. I have no skill in building the texture maps, but it isn't very detailed anyway and doesn't really detract. I just need to find a standard RVMAT that isn't so shiny!

It uses thermobaric grenades and VOG-25 grenades for the sake of gameplay.

v1.0 released - see first post! I expanded the addon to include not only the RG-6, but also the GM-94, MRO-A and RPO-A thermobaric grenade launchers. Also units with localization for every type of grenade launcher including BIS grenade launchers.

For some reason there are muzzle flashes permanently visible on both the RG-6 and the GM-94.

Is anyone else getting this error?

Just double-checked, no animation issue when testing with just this addon. We haven't seen anything when playing online with some other addons either. Can you test with "just" this addon to see if it happens? Could be a conflict somewhere...

I could try, however I use a lot of addons by default and thus finding the culprit would be like finding a needle in a haystack.

They're pretty cool though, and I like the firing sound of the RG-6 and the GM94.

Yeah the sounds are the real deal captured directly from that vid that Dysta posted :)

The weapons all inherit directly from the BIS GL configs. Not sure if that helps you any... the M32 GL is the parent for the RG-6 so it should behave the same with the exception that the RG-6 inherits the SemiAuto mode.

Coming soon... PISTOL LAUNCHERS! Figured out how to make it happen. So simple too... just make a new 3D model with only the zasleh gunfire point, and a proxy for the BIS 3D model. Presto you have a reasonable facsimile that has a relatively minor issue of having no animations (because it is a proxy). Here's the trick - the usti granada and konec granata memory points must be renamed to usti hlavne and konec hlavne. PRESTO the "pistol" now shoots ammo in the right direction! Ditto for the "GL eye" memory point - must use "eye" memory point... tada! Proper line of sight w/ the GL.

The M79 doesn't look quite right due to the hand animations, but it works! I just need to finish the stringtable and readme!
