Company of Heroes 2 in latest PC Gamer UK magazine

Recommended Posts

Set in the beginning of 1941, the players role will take him from the defense of stalingrad to the victory at berlin.

Graphics look amazing the soldiers look just as good as they do in other ww2 firstperson shooters.

Realistic snow, tank treads make realistic marks, also tanks can get bogged down in snow drifts.

Snow melts Eg: a soldier with a flamethrower burns a farmhouse the snow on the roof melts and makes the roof fallin.

You can vault over fences.

New Feature called "True Sight" You can only see what your units see.

More advanced covering system...thats all it says about that.

release is 2013

Great news! Is it only the Russian and German factions, do you know?

Sounds good so far. I always preferred MoW but those improvements seem nice. CoH was pretty fun, but I thought it had too much generic RTS gimmicks. (I'm looking at you, invisible units)

I especially like Eastern Front stuff. Very cool.

Would be nice to have finland, after all tali-ihantala was a larger battle than normandy landing.

Yes please.

Excellent news! They sure took their sweet time with this one, though.

I would say the offer for the free game is WELL worth it, I still play now and only purchased the game last year at a bargain price and it still holds its own, doesn't feel old.

Very much bookmarking the updates for this.

It would be nice if they catered for some more tactical slower gameplay, but thats hardly an issue.
