Bugs and suggestions

Recommended Posts

I've played Carrier Command a few times now and I've compiled a short list of some bugs that I've encountered and suggestions on a few things that I feel could be changed.

1: The only time I actually physically saved the game, when I went to load it the game refused to load the save, claiming there was an attempted access from another PC.

2: The game somtimes crashes at random when paused in loading (eg. coming out of a Timewarp).

3: Walrus' could use a slightly better pathing instead of trying to stay as close to a selected faw away destination when navigating around mountains.

4: Mantas could use a smarter control when attacking (ie actually attack a target instead of sometimes doing nothing, trying to claim they cannot see the target when the target is shooting them down. Maybe move position).

5: Scrambler defence when attacking an enemy island. While the concept is good, the execution doesn't work in my opinion as the telemetry range reduction means that ones that are not near the coast of an island can never be "seen" by the carrier's telemetry range meaning your forces will never be able to get close enough to destroy all of them.

6: Could use some detail on the radar (map terrain) when you are controlling/watching Mantas and Walrus' performing an operartion, or indeed if you are manually controlling them.

7: Not cartain of the arc of the Plasma Turret but I think it should be increased to a 180 degree swing instead of what it is.

8: Continuing with the turrets, a key to switch from one turret to another when manually controlling a turret instead of the lengthy process of exiting manual mode then trying to find the right one you want then going back in to manual mode to fire.

The load/save issue BI is aware of and is likely working on.

Same with random crashes

Pathfinding - agreed - expect improvement over time.

Not sure what you mean on 4

Scramblers work fine - you have to move around the island - as you kill more -range increases.

Again not sure what you mean on 6

Look at the placement of the turret - if it swung 180 then you could shoot yourself.... placement needs to change and then agree on the arc.

Mouse wheel in 0 does exactly that.

Instead of posting here - create the case in the feedback section where BI folks are actively checking stuff.

When you shut down the game there is a link on the last page. If you follow this, you will come to a bugs report page were you will find all of the bug reports so far. You can add yours to this. Best way to get them sorted out.
