Hi Rubber

I'm currently playing your latest version, obviously i've alt-tabbed out. Anyway, is there a reason that ai don't spawn at your medics mash respawn point? It's just a pain when ai have to yomp miles and miles after death if you've not captured a camp but have built a mash respawn point. Other than that so far i'm really enjoying it. Hopefully give it a proper bash on my private server with my mates, we've been playing patrol ops, Nateos warfare and crcti but i think they'd love playing this.

Hi mate,

The mash is only for players, and you can build new bases more close to the action during the battle.

About the texture error, it's due to udp protocol during JIP or mission download, it will not happen to you again with the same file name

the best to avoid that (arma issue) is to download the mission from the web instead of from the game client, it's random and happen with bad/slow connection with all mission that u download before play. For sure more big is the mission in MB and more high is the chance if u download from game server.

About the conversion would be great if u want to do as OFFICIAL package, in this case we can teamwork a bit, cause I love the idea of I44 version and also Podagorsk is one of the best Islands for ArmA for this better to wait I will release Chernarus with the last changes so it's aready faster to convert with full woodland template instead of convert from Takistan with Desert Template.

I will release 15.15 soon they are small step and is nice to test time to time then check the final result together.

So u don't need to wait Build 16, just wait few days, and please tell me if u want to do that in official way and teamwork on conversion to save time

Sure, official way is anyway beneficial for all...just a note here, that I'm not a specialist in Virtual Engine scripting, so perhaps you don't like my results at all. Well, anyway, then it's only for me ;-)

That's being a little nosey Rubber.......LOL! :D

Nothing much really mate, didn't touch your code, just changed some of the GUI buttons making new ones ie, Clear, Reload, Backpack and edited text on a few others, removed some start spawn points, moving to flatter/smoother terrain, moved depots, camps to flat locations as some were buried or had rocks, trees etc. Also edited init_defences and changed mg nest, mash, aagun wall layouts and removing walls surrounding barracks etc, makes it more challenging with walls missing, and a few bits and bobs here and there. Oh and i removed the desert skins as i kept getting popups and it did my head in so i removed anything pointing to it, personally i prefer enemy being green, so my son doesn't blow up the wrong vehicles. ;)

It's still 99.99999999% all Rubber! I only use it on my Private Server where i'm just about to meet my 10 year old son who's off school and trying to capture Feruz Abad. Keep the updates coming mate we love playing it, i play alot of Warfare and crCTI all of which i've edited to suit but this is by far the best Warfare to date. ;)

Anytime you want to join us let me know and i'll give you the password. Unfortunately i'm working tonight and this weekend but weekdays and week night's, you're more than welcome! ;)

About the changes the reason why I ask is just because I like to compare the modded version and if I like the changes I am really happy to add also on the main official build, I did the same with Hoshi that use a modded version of my Warfare were I take the idea for the MAP marker information, and nice Hint message, so u can mod as u like, and use as u like, when u have some nice changes send the pbo to me so I can improve also official edition.

The work in progress speed is good now, I am really close to a final build, then I can start to work on more islands, the first one will be Saharani, second Chernarus, then I create a tutorial to port the mission, so we can explore more islands that are really nice.

If you are a bit good in scripting I would like to give you a small task, maybe u can help me do offload my task queue

I want to add a marker to the town that show the circle of town protection range when driver at MHQ, in order to make it easy to check the limit where we can deploy the mhq without using the shift left click waypoint...

And I want to improve the GUI a little bit, if someone with a bit of experience in GUI would like to help... I will be really happy.

All that is not so complicated but takes time :cool:

Looking forward to any updates mate. It took me and my 10 year old son Ryan an hour to take Feruz Abad yesterday but he loved it. It was one of those towns that wouldn't surrender. Using the Acre radios and the JSRS sound mod and a few other little addons just made the gameplay that little bit more special. He even saved my Hmmwv/TOW from being destroyed from a BMP using his Maaws launcher.

If you are a bit good in scripting I would like to give you a small task, maybe u can help me do offload my task queue.

I'm no good at scripting mate but my brain can understand when i'm ripping scripts to bits but i've got no clue. And astonishingly i never seem to brake it, albeit the odd error here and there that i'm usually able to sort out. So sorry on that part Rubber. As for the GUI i merely pinched your buttons used for the HUD, GPS etc and edited one and replaced your Backpack, Reload & Clear buttons and resized to fit the GUI, and changed the font to a slightly bolder text. I can zip the mission up for you if you want and just pinch the bits you want. It was just for personal use to be honest. Just can't wait to finish work tomorrow morning and have a bash with my son again and my mate during the week when he's off work.

Right i'd better get to bed as i have work tonight. Thanks for all your time and effort Rubber, Warfare RE and crCTI Kastenbier are the nuts! Cheers mate. ;)

Hi Rubber, firstly thanks for the update, and secondly i'm currently playing and have come across a hmmwv with grenade launcher and while the front gunner and top gunner are alive the driver is dead but the vehicle has become useless because no one jumps in the drivers seat. I thought i'd jump in and take over but there's no option to. Any chance you could make it so if driver dies someone else ie: ai and/or player can jump in the driver seat? Otherwise you end up with endless vehicles with no drivers.

Another problem is that the Ai commander has stopped buying anything, he has $89000 and doesn't seem buy purchase anything, i'm at 4 hours + gametime. The ai are still taking towns and server is at 49/50 fps.

I don't use and develop AI commander, AI squads, that's the same as BE2071, But in last edition I changed upgrade tree so I will try to mod also the upgrade tree of AI commander maybe that will solve your problem.

About vehicles with default parameter are locked so u can't enter unless u have lockpicker or vehicle are your (build by you), if u change the parameter the vehicle will be not locked and u can use also server vehicle if they lost the crew without need of lockpicker.

Yeah i noticed on Benny's thread someone has mentioned about the ai commander upgrades etc, hopefully he'll fix it soon enough, or if you have a workaround that would be great also. I'll check the parameter with regards to locked vehicles.

Hi Rubber, i'm currently playing a game with my son Liam and my mate and when we come to take a captured east strongpoint it's still showing the US flag when clearly the town is owned by the east. Also the lock vehicle thing you mentioned only shows resistance vehicles in the parameters. Also for some strange reason i'm actually seeing armored vehicles for once 2 hours plus in, so maybe the commander was having an off day yesterday. Haven't seen any choppers in the air yet and i'm well over 3 hours in. But lots of fun mate. Right got to get back in. Hope the flag issue can be fixed.

Oh yeah another thing is when it's peacetime on an enemy owned town me and my buddies sat outside the zone then ai from our own team waltzed in and the timer went up, is there a fix to stop ai going into enemy owned peacetime?

As I told, I don't mod support or work on AI Commander, if u use that AI Squad, you have to disable peace time

The strong point was marked red but the flag was west. I then recaptured it but flag was already west. We like the ai commander commanding because we enjoy getting shot at. Overall though we played for 4.5 hours. Time flew by and we all enjoyed the game immensely. Playing again tomorrow. ;)

I've been playing this one for about 3.5 hours with my mate and the only problem i'm getting is when the second base is built. I'm getting "HQ MOBILIZED" followed by "HQ DEPLOYED" and this gets repeated over and over and over. It's seems to be stuck in a cycle as the HQ reverts back to it's previous position after moving about 50/100m saying it's deployed, get a black x and starts all over again. It never happened with build 18.

In order to be fixed a bug, "MUST" be reproducible, I don't have that bug with 15.19, I have another bug due to delay in client init, that doesn't display all the side building marker, some are black without letter, to reproduce the bug, start the mission build some base structures, then disconnect, reconnect and u will notice that not all are marked on map.

I am decreasing the delay on init client. And I can test until the marker works fine....

That's is an example, please if u want to help and report bug, report also how to reproduce that bug, bug that happen 1 time, are random due to connection lag, server load, client issues, are out of my control I can't fix a bug that I can't reproduce.

I see a lot of strange things in arma and some happen with strange connection UDP... packet loss server overload and more.

I've already compared yours with many variations of warfare and also noticed the mando tweaks a couple of days ago. And I still have 2.017 Ace warfare on my PC and server, but don't play it much any more because i keep playing yours now. :D

Also to be honest it works pretty good with the ai commander. As long as he tells the ai where to go i'm not that bothered as me and my mate/sons just enjoy taking towns without a care for the ai commnder, as long as he does his job. ;)

With just a few of us playing the server never drops below 50 fps maybe a quick second hitting 46 fps. I've played on other servers before but teamwork seems non existent or some people just seem oblivious or ignorant to other players which is why we decided to rent our own server which puts me in charge as admin and gives a myself and my sons a constant high ping. :)

Right i'm off back to bed as i'm feeling like sh*t! Thanks again Rubber, can't wait to give it a bash in the next day or two! ;)

we have really good guys playing at moment.

I know what u mean about "public" server, but trust me, my mission is already a "filter" cause of economy ranks and massive need of teamwork :)

we can arrange an event and play together vs AI, just to enjoy one day

Sounds like a plan, look forward to playing mate. And thanks for the kind words. I'm in bed typing this on my Nexus 7. Unfortunately I've lost a stone in weight due to being ill this last week so hope to be eating plenty of food soon. :D
