How to disable fire sound on campfire?

I have several campfires set up throughout a MOUT course because the light they provide is the level I'm looking for, but the sound of them burning is a bit much. Is there a way to disable the sound on the campfires?

But then you have no sound at all. :p

You can always try this method, it stops the sound of the cow on dying! maybe you can use the same way to stop the sound

of the fire. Not sure it will work but you can only but try :)
