Is There a Way to Record External View? Track?

I think many players come to this game from Arma and so much that is obvious to some is harder for me. I've seen lots of videos of external shots from scenes in ToH. Either the people posting the videos are really good at flying in an external view while recording with Fraps or there really is a record feature. So, is there a way to record flights or tracks? Thanks.
