3 versions of the mission:

-vanilla version

-MH-53E addon mission

-OFrP mod version

as you wish mate.

-in vanilla version, you'll play with USMC and Blackhawks.

-the MH-53 version will only change the choppers.

-the OFrP version will make you play with the French units.

basically, it's the same mission, you will just play with different units, that's all

Have you noticed that I added 2 more missions to my RitterKreuz missions pack?
In Rescue, I'm missing the surprise element. Normally you'd assume that a hostage would be killed by the bad guys if they see that the situation is hopeless, so the hostage should somehow be secured before the bad guys know what happens. However here I'm fighting my way in and the last guy still sits beside the hostage with his thumb up his ass. Maybe you can script that the hostage gets shot by a guard if you get too close or alarm too many or so. Also, the actual helicopter extraction would be nice to see, I was outright disappointed that the mission ended already while I was preparing the LZ.

Ambush is just too short (except for the too long walk to the end zone), also there is no way to win it if you miss one of the targets with the satchel detonation (with ACE you could detonate each one by one, but still a bit boring). What about a different ambush where a 3 or 4 man team equipped with a sniper rifle, a tripod, and a mk19, insert by HALO and have to get to a position from where they can wipe out a convoy at a choke point (like naran darre pass etc.) and then have to retreat hastily, being chased by infantry (approaching from an angle where the mounted weapon is useless) or a chopper. Yeah I know that is a completely different mission :j:

I didn't correct the missions the way you wanted:

"Ambush" is just a "destroy the convoy" type mission, and I don't think a whole team is needed - just a lonewolf mission is enough IMO.

About "Rescue", I've made some test, and the hostage is killed too fast - it's almost impossible to rescue him if I make the talibans shoot him when discovered.

"almost" sounds like a challenge^^

Actually, some extremely difficult hostage rescue would be interesting. Mind that with ACE you have more tools, like tear gas etc. Just an idea.

JTAC is borked, I wasn't able to interact with the laptop in any way, thus the mission doesn't continue there. First played it with ACE and a bunch of addons, but without all of them (again just OA+DLCs and latest beta) it made no difference. Up to that point, everything worked as intended (the plane managed to crash into the mountains in one playthrough, but we'll cheaply blame BIS for that^^).

There are a bunch of errors thrown in the report file, most are harmless (mind that items like compass etc. are not deleted when you do a removeallweapons on someone), but the logic creation error might have something to do with it:

Wiki, problem with Ritterkreuz:

2nd mission RESCUE and 3rd mission JTAC, player cannot fire nor aim the weapon. I tested many times.

Is this intentional? If so, you may need to put it in the briefing. If not, how is this caused? BIS bug??

it's just a problem with the weapons script I use.

not a real problem though, you just need to press spacebar at the beginning of the mission.

anyway, I hope you'll like them.

BTW, I just want to announce here that I won't add any new mission to my SP missions packs (just update them if bugs are encountered).

I will probably quit editing, or maybe create SP missions from time to time.
