meade95 0 Posted March 6, 2012 I have a new Alienware system - A2/OA runs great performance wise - Yet, I've never been able to see any rain or snow while playing - I hear it rain but doesn't show up? I have latest NVIDIA drivers (have used several versions). I'm running a GTX 590 video card. Any simple tricks or things I may be missing?
msy 21 Posted March 6, 2012 Have you tried to set weather in the editor and play? In winter months when you set rain you can see snow.
.kju 3105 Posted March 6, 2012 I think you need postprocess effects on at least minimum.
Hud Dorph 21 Posted March 6, 2012 I have never been able to see rain either, all i see is the droplets on the ground. Gotta try with postprocess on as i have always had it off.
valnwt 10 Posted March 6, 2012 I thinkt the idea is that you place a Enviroment effects module to see snow (and as msy wrote, set the time of year to dec). Regarding the rain, there could be two reasons why you dont see it. 1, you dont wait long enough, when previewing in the editor wait about 30 sec and the rain should be visible. 2, the rain itself is abit hard to see sometimes, try looking at a dark place. meade95 0 Posted March 7, 2012 Thanks for replies - If it is Post Processing having to be ON....that is likely why. I've always played with it off. Thanks.
