This time polish ISP providers came up with the idea that they will keep info about ALL visited sites and downloaded files of their customers. Data would be kept for 12 months. Their reasoning is that such data would allow verification of complaint that the tubes werent fast enough at specified point of time. Nothing solid right now, just a heads up. So THEY THINK that they can corelate the data, go up to a wire, lying on the ground and say "ooh, so that is where the problem, wire's/tube's too thin, no problem we'll strap more with a duct tape"? They do this in order to 'maximaze' our security in the web and to deliver a better service vide new googl privacy policy (in effect since Mar '12). Right now I'm seriously thinking about erasing all my connections with Google by erasing my gmail account and youtube account. vilas 473 Posted February 22, 2012 (edited) hmmm strange ... i wonder how much our nation can take: - we had unemployment bigger than now-rioting Greeks, Spain etc. (ca. decade ago) and nothing happened, - we have wages 4 times lower than Germans but home/flat/hire costs can be 2 times bigger than Germany have, - we have so much corruption and bribes scandals shown by media and no protests while Hungarians were rioting after society found that polician lied to them, - politicians change their political ideas 180 degrees after election day, - most of jobs are given by relations, not by knowledge, ass-licking, nepotism, lovers, family etc. - criminals are free, courts do nothing (today TV informed that one sone of advocate who burned some cars on streets of my city, was released by court, 23-y.o. son of advocate was burning citizens' cars for fun, he set fire on 20 cars of people on street, court let him free, his father is told to also been free after one case after arrest) and people do nothing i thing that one day there will be boiling point, i only still don't know why it not happened yet and now you say about internet invigilation, i feel shame, that people on the west would be angry, while majority of Poles will not care even if they will be totally investigated, i cannot understand it if someone spits at my face, i always fight back... hell, i am Lithuanian and Russian in 50% , maybe that's why i don't understand how much nation can be abused, spit in face and still keep hands peacefully , i can't, i am really surprised that we had no revolution in 2003 when we had over 20% of official unemployment and earning 200 Euro i don't understand why after some big political-bribery scandals we had peace on streets, it is too hard for me to understand it, i don't understand how it is possible that for example 70% or 80% of society is against something (according to public opinion checks, stats.) and parliament votes for it, it is possible only in Poland, to have 80% of opponents and win , in normal countries if 80% of society wants something = parliament do it if 80% do not want something = parliament halt regulation in PL it is capsized you vote for party which promissed to lower taxes, after election they make bigger taxes for few percent , you vote for party which promissed to leave war and put troops back, they make contingent bigger, 1000 soldiers more, Edited February 22, 2012 by vilas Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Especially since that BS doesn't prevent terror. It just helps with the investigation. That reminds me of a quote from Benjamin Franklin. Dont even start on terror laws, you can thank good ole 9/11 for all that, now this and even in the UK councils using elements of terror laws to spy on householders about bins & overnight stays ... the only terror will be directed at you.
