ABOUT F2F A.L.S.S.

The F2F Air Loadout Selector System is a script which enables a variety of bomb and missile loadouts for ArmA 2 (A2/OA/CO/PMC/BAF) aircraft. Originally, F2F A.L.S.S. was considered a private script used only in F2F squad missions. I came to the conclusion that others may also benefit from this script so I decided to release it to the ArmA community.

Further script updates will be released if/when time permits. Technical support and requests will gladly be taken into consideration.

A.L.S.S. FEATURES

  • NO MODS REQUIRED!
  • Most vanilla aircraft supported including the AV-8B, A-10, Su-25, Su-34, Mi-24, AH-64D, AH-1Z, AH-6J, UH-1Y, Ka-52, Ka-60, and more!
  • Many popular aircraft and weapon addons are compatible with A.L.S.S. (scroll down for a list of compatible addons)
  • Aircraft will have several unique weapon loadouts available to choose from such as Close Air Support, Air Interdiction, Combat Air Patrol, Air Superiority and others.
  • The script is multiplayer friendly!
  • Simple 2-step intallation to get your mission up and running in no time.
  • Optional code to remove all weapons from aircraft upon mission start (see installation step #3).
  • No need to configure each aircraft, just pull aircraft up to "loader" and receive in-game options.
  • Ability to make ANY editor object a "loader" object. This includes vehicles which makes for an ability to create mobile forward rearm points. (A "loader" object is an object which an aircraft must pull-up to in order to select custom weapon loadouts.)
  • Customizable radius for each loader. An aircraft must be within this radius in order for the loadout menu to activate. (see installation step #2)
  • Addon support. You may request addon aircraft to be incorporated into this system for upcoming versions.

A.L.S.S. INSTALLATION

  1. REQUIRED - Copy and paste (or drag and drop) the "f2f_modules" folder directly into your mission folder.
  2. REQUIRED - Copy and paste the following code into each "loader" objects init field:
    null = [this, 20] execVM "f2f_modules\f2f_alss\f2f_alss_init.sqf";
    • You can do this for as many objects as you please - no limit.
    • The number "20" represents the default radius in which an aircraft must stop in order for menu options to become available. You can change this number to suit your needs.

[*]OPTIONAL - Copy and paste the following code into an aircraft(s) init field to clear all ordinance upon mission start.

  • This is optional and is only needed for aircraft you wish to have weapons cleared for.

The following addons are compatible and highly recommended (not required by any means) with the ALSS script:

TECHNICAL / MODIFICATIONS

To change loadout weapon/magazine classes:

  1. OPEN FILE:
    ...\f2f_modules\f2f_alss\f2f_exe\f2f_exe_p.sqf
  2. FIND AIRCRAFT: The loadouts are organized by aircraft title and classname. You may also edit this file to incorporate additional mods.
  3. TO EDIT WEAPONS:
    ADD_WEP(WEP_CLASSNAME_GOES_HERE);
  4. TO EDIT MAGAZINES:
    ADD_MAG(MAG_CLASSNAME_GOES_HERE);

Great work! We have been discussing the need for this for some time now so this will make a lot of airforce lovers very happy. Btw do you plan to make a version that can be used with other vanilla and non-vanilla models as well? Thanks again for all the trouble.

I am glad this script was of use for your squad. Compatibility with other aircraft (included modded) has been on my mind, perhaps when I have a good amount of time I will look into it for the community.

Yes you are correct. The difference between this script and the Mando / Ace modules is that this is a script version and it uses loadouts based on mission profile, not individual selection.

F2F A.L.S.S. v2.0 Released!

This version consists of a complete redevelopment of the script. Now the installation is a simple two-step process. Addons are no-longer required yet are still compatible with the script (compatible addons are recommended for additional loadouts). This means future updates will consist of additional addon compatibilities. I am currently in the works of incorporating helicopters (both BIS and addons) into the system as well. ACE weapons and aircraft are also being considered for a future release.

If you have a specific aircraft addon (or weapons addon) which you would like to see incorporated into the system, please let me know via PM or at www.thefirst2fight.com.

F2F A.L.S.S. v2.1 Released!

I have received several requests for Myke's F-16C Fighting Falcon addon to be compatible with the F2F A.L.S.S. system, so here it is. You can now select all of the default weapon loadouts with just one F-16C variant. Remember to pick your favorite paint scheme and have a nice flight! :)

HOTFIX for ALSS v2.1

If you have downloaded ALSS v2.1 and plan on using Myke's F-16C, please download the temporary hot fix which resolves many of the F-16C loadout issues. This hotfix will be incorporated into the next future version release.

After downloading, just replace the f2f_modules folder from v2.1 with the folder in the hotfix download. Enjoy! :yay:

F2F A.L.S.S. v2.2 Released!

As requested by many users, several addon aircraft have been included into this latest release making them fully compatible with the script. Addons such as the F/A-18F Super Hornet (Meatball0311's), the F-14D Super Tomcat (VectorX96's) and the GR3 Harrier (Trouble's). Several script fixes have also been incorporated into this release.

I have also found that there is a slight conflict with Blakeace's PseudoNavigation script where, when both are active, and choosing a loadout, the bombing reticle appears. Will also post in his thread to see if he has an answer.

I am slowly but surely getting all armed BIS aircraft incorporated into the system. Your desires are not going un-noticed, I will soon start my "test runs" on helicopters as well.

As for the PINS system, I am unsure as to what may be causing the conflict. Keep me informed if you get a response from Blake.
