and also well done with the Frigates!. Being ex Navy,Love the Frigates!.

They do add a different twist to BattleZone , not to mention they upscale the war

and effects, i love using them.

Now if there was just one for resistance "hint" :)

i would love to work out how to do the missile targeting like on the ships as i would love to add something like that to the GRAD and MLRS to enhance BZ even more.

I have tried it, and are not sure how to get troops under my command.

Every time i buy a soldier he starts wandering off, and is not under my control??

The first time you start the construction module you get a HUGE list of keys that you can press. All the information you need is there.

But as TeilX says J for join, U for unjoin. H is to make a vehicle you have made Hunt. they will autohunt after a minute or so anyway (but I like to get them into the war asap )

It's better on dedi as there are a lot of units! This is war after all !

It can be played locally, and I think that ZK is planning SP ;)

Hi Guys

Hi are there any manuel or tutorial in playing this mission??

The first time you use the Build Menu you get a hint with the list of Keys you can use

Press K -- for Keys

to show that menu again at anytime you in the build menu.- same for the editor-

on the bottom right of your screen shows to the commanding keys - J, U , Del , H

they change as you move your cursor over objects to show you what you can use

also you get Hints telling you what needs to be done or why you cant build.

There is also this Post - im happy to answer any questions :)

Im working on a manual and will add it to the first post.

To Play it as local or on Lan

Add the mission to your MPMissions Folder

goto Multiplayer

Go NEW

then select OK

and Play it from the Mission List

At this point Im making & testing a SP version of -=BattleZone=-

with as many options as i can, like in the MP ver

So far its looking Good

V3 not yet. Ran V1 on Takistan once. there was issues with "getin" actions and building some units. But maybe this results is obsolete already with V3.

I set up dedicated server yesterday, and hope will test your missions soon with ACE.

tested Duala Battlezone on dediserv (Athlon 64 x2 4200, 2Gb) and it was pretty playable with 150 units. btw, i still have broblem with building "tunguska". AI builds it well. Mods installed - CBA and Duala only.

You should run the latest version V3. There are a LOT of improvements over V1.

I don't use ACE2 but have combined it with MSO - which is working well. There are a few errors (weather and a slight sound warning) but with 3 sides, 2 containers each together with Civs (about 400 units) and was getting 13FPS. You wouldn't know it was low FPS however.

tested V3 Duala Battlezone with ACE. east vs west only, 150 units, factions: BIS US, USMC, RU, Afrenians & Molatians (didnt include ACE factions yet).

no bugs was noticed, getin action work well. the only thing - more units i was unable to build ("Dzhigit" AA static, "Metis" AT, Ka-50, "Tunguska", GAZ-3937 "Vodnik").

How easy is it to redo the mod / set a completely different and limited set of units?

Is your code structed enough for ease on this?

Curious, because I had the idea to use this to make a cool Naval War ;)

Use something like my "Waves" terrain, using Carriers as a "base" and the only build vehicles being aircraft, boats, ships and subs ......

Somewhat a dream ..... since OFP :D

Talking as a tester, it should be EXTREMELY easy to do. The 'superb-but-noone-has-commented-on-it' built in editor would make it really easy to do. You would, of course, have to restrict build to only aircraft and ships (and subs - ZK could add a new SUBS class :) )

Regarding their ways points - a whole network of waypoints can be added that all vehicles can use for patrol/guard etc.

Using BZ, your dream is closer than you think :)

just want to say WOW once again! wonderful warfare!

Played BZ Duala, 3 sides Russia vs USA vs China (ACEX_PLA, VME_PA), 180 units per side. along with ACE used bunch of vehicles mods (BRDMs, Tochka, Mi-28, T-80, MRAPs, Rah-66, Vulcan). and all this zoo plays smooth without any lags!

it will take a minor / major rewrite but that sounds like a great idea

as its your idea / project

i would be happy to take part or help out in any way

The framework of the code will work ,

Ships as bases building planes and choppers on the flightdeck should not be hard

My respawn will work with any parameters i set to respawn with so to have you repawn back on the ships will be no problem

, i already have water pickup working so thats 1 thing done

i cant see to much adding code as there will be more removing it

what would be good

- a list of ships and subs that work

- a list of your ideas that you or anyone else that you would like to see in it

Thanks for the mission, from what I have tested so far it looks great!

One very minor bug I have noticed:

The time of day parameter does not seem to apply properly to clients if joined when the server is first launched. If I start a game on the server, leave and then re-join it is set correctly. This is using a dedicated server.

Also, are there any plans to release versions for Chernarus or Lingor?

Looking forward to the SP as I feel I can't play the mission properly as I haven't seen any servers down under and SP for this sounds a bit more appealing..
