whiskeytango 11 Posted December 22, 2011 So treat it as it is simply final patch and report only major installation issues or issues preventing this patch to be rolled out to everybody. So the final 1.60 will be released today/tomorrow? Or are we to use this RC until after the holiday?

nikiforos 450 Posted December 22, 2011 SHould we wait for the final release or should I just download the RC6? If the final patch comes before Christmas I rather wait for it. Can we get some answer please?
Tonci87 163 Posted December 22, 2011 anyone can confirm lag/desync in 1.60.87546 servers? Just to let you know: Our group had some Lag with RC3 during a large Mission with BW Mod Stuff. We don´t belive that the Lag was caused by RC3 (didn´t experience it in other Missions) it is more likely that either the Mission itself or the BW Mod Stuff (very likely regarding the unfinished and unmaintained state the Mod is in) was causing the problems. munger 25 Posted December 22, 2011 I was getting regular desync in RC4 in a simple 2 player LAN game with a small number of addons. I was quite surprised by this as the same mission with the same addons and same number of players used to suffer no desync whatsoever back in the 1.5x days. Haven't tried RC6 yet though, so here's hoping it's in good shape. Thanks again for all your efforts BIS (and also the DevHeaven guys for the superbly productive CIT). Happy Christmas to all! :)
kremator 1065 Posted December 22, 2011 I think that once a new RC candidate comes out all other previous beta and RC threads should be locked. This is getting too confusing. This will then concentrate minds on latest RC (or beta). Not getting at you Munger or Tonci87 - just general rant. I AM finding that vehicles are getting caught in walls now (perhaps due to interpolation errors) and are unable to move. It looks like they have been cemented in! Dwarden 1125 Posted December 22, 2011 no, there is change, RC7 was last not released to public, this thread is now obsolete
maruk 80 Posted December 22, 2011 Yes, final patch is a little bit different (better). Please make sure to get final 1.60 and update your Release Candidate. Changelog: * ca.pbo fixed for OA standalone * some last obsolete bi.bisign fixed in OA standalone Not massive difference but still probably worth getting to make sure everyone is on the same version. pcc 14 Posted December 23, 2011 1.60 also has newer arma2oa.exe and \Dta\bin.pbo + it's signatures ...1.60.87580 is the build For some reason with the 1.6 patch the game cannot start because it cannot open \Dta\bin.pbo.
Dwarden 1125 Posted December 23, 2011 well that's what is confusing me it's \Dta\bin.pbo or \Expansion\Dta\bin.pbo can You look into Your OA directory and provide md5 of each ^
void_false 1 Posted December 27, 2011 I'm getting the same error after applying 1.60 patch: Cannot open file 'D:\games\CapsulateGames\ARMA II - PC\\dta\bin.pbo' I've got ARMA2 from capsulate and OA form sprocket website. stk2008 14 Posted December 27, 2011 Sorry to ask as I have not got time to test nor download patch right now. Is the bullet impacts still limited to like 500m in MP?. If you dont know what I mean is when I would spot for a mate he would fire at a target say 800m away and I would never see a splash but he would as it never got renderd over 500m. This made a sniper/spotting team harder
kremator 1065 Posted December 28, 2011 Please close all RC threads now as the proper patch is out.
