There is a scripting references thread at Armaholic containing some excellent things:

Best place to start is Mr Murray - some of it is in sqs - that is the old way of doing things don't get into the sqs habit. It's very good. Unfortunately much in that thread is very old, people aren't so helpful these days.

Hmmm now that's a bit of news! Arma 3 and TOH to be scripted in Java! Throw mama sqf from the train!
