LEA - Loadout Editor For ArmA 2 Combined Operations and ACE 2

Recommended Posts

Nope, actually target folder is "D:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead\userconfig" , and still not working.

I've also tried to show the main game folder too. I've tried every folder, every combination and always the same error: "Path to userconfig folder is invalid". I really didnt understand the reason. I'm using mods / addons for years, and this is the first addon that i couldn't get work.

create "userconfig" folder at root of c:\ and give the path c:\userconfig. If you still get the message "Path to userconfig folder is invalid" I espect you have some Read only restriction on c:\

i did exactly like you said, created a userconfig at root of C:\ and give the path c:\userconfig, and yes, still getting the same error. It doesn't matter, my game is not on C, it's on D:\ and when i try to copy entire game to C:\ section, doesn't make a difference. Getting that error all the time

Thank you so much for trying to help, and thanks for your quick response by the way. You really did a great job with this addon.

LEA could make me happy as much as an official DLC if i could get it work. This is very useful, and even beyond it; a necessary addon. I really really want to use it, but i don't know whats the problem. Interface and software works just fine. I can create profile, choose weapons & other loadout and it can save the profile as a file. But unfortunately can't apply profile to LEA, whatever i do it will not recognise and see userconfig folder =(

Note to addon author:

Due to a recent change in the ACE addon, the function "ACE_fnc_PutWeaponOnBack" is changed in use. For LEA's purposes the function "ACE_fnc_AddWeaponOnBack" should be substituted. Until this change is done, all loadouts which have an item in the WOB slot will not be applied when the loadout is applied.

LEA uses the ACE_weapononback variable through setVariable not this function. Now if it fails with the new beta build of ACE you should ask ACE Team to push out 1.14 stable release at last...

I'm just saying that I replaced the function within loadout_0.sqf and it turned something that didn't work into something that did.

[player, ""] call ACE_fnc_PutWeaponOnBack; does not work

[player, ""] call ACE_fnc_AddWeaponOnBack; did work

It breaks with ACE 1.13 stable so no modification will be done.

You know that ACE 1.13 stable ist outdatet and 99% of the users use the version 1.14 RC1?

And since the 1.14 RC1 r590 the ACE_fnc_PutWeaponOnBack did not work so we have now (because you wouldn't change it :() to edit every loudout to the new ACE_fnc_AddWeaponOnBack

Hi there, Major_Shepard

thanks for this great addon! I have enhanced my SP gaming considerately by creating various loadouts for those typical situations in custom made MILSIM missions where the mission author doesn't give you the option to change gear in briefing, but you feel the given loadout unfit for the task. I ,for example, HATE the BIS and ACE G36 SD and despite training on a target range mission cannot hit a barn with it at 100-200 meters. Therefor, whenever I play a KSK mission where the author forces that crappy gun on me, I use now LEA to give me either the normal G36 or a RH HK weapon that is silenced. I can shoot fine with these! Same goes for missions where you are supposed to stop convoys and do not even ge a decent AT launcher - fuck the mines, I'll fire up the LEA profile "SF AT Specialist" and there I have my launcher!

But despite working great with the natively supported addons, I can't get LEA to add new addons. Specifically, I would like to add

THIS: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?147239-Realistic-survival-kit

into LEA loadouts to enhance my experienceLOST/APOCALYPSE missions with a survival component, but LEA misses picture and/or cannot compile it in the end. I choose the mod's folder, then again for extraction, then I extract, then analyse and get the message that LEA can't read some icons. I tried to use other icons for the missing stuff or delete these items from the list, but that didn't work because in the end LEA cannot compile the new mod anyway.

Please have a look at it and tell me if I simply made a mistake in using LEA or if this mod is altogether incompatible with LEA's analysing system.

best regards,

tourist.

Done. Select Repository to get workable RSP.

You will find the stuff into US (RSP) faction filter. Checkout Rifles and Equip tabs :)

Hey Major_Shepard,

thank you so much for the quick help! It works fine and I think I will not stop at simply using that "US SF with survival items" profile. Time to check out if I can get the RSP stuff into ammo crates and vehicles with LEA...

best regards,

touristo

I have a few questions.

How hard would it be to get this working with ArmA 3?

Would it require a whole new interface?

Would it need to be reprogrammed?

Is there even an ArmA 3 Version in the works?

Yes there will be a new release of LEA for ArmA3 when the full game comes out.

It will be a new build with GUI improments and more...;)

Glad to hear there will be a A3 version! It's not surprising with your great support. :) Just as reference, I found the LEA online help very useful and well done.

I have noticed formerly working ace "on back" is not currently working. Is does anyone else have this problem?

Yeah this would required to unpack OFrP addon and then break OFrP's EULA:

Terms of Use (E.U.L.A.) :

[...]

You are not allowed to decompile OFrP add-ons to extract the contents.

[...]

All of this for a bunch of config files and paa pictures...

You should go and tell what you think here: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?154487-Operation-FrenchPoint-3-2
