Baxter 10 Posted December 5, 2011 I am probably about 75% through and disk 2 is in my drive when I get an error message: File Copy Error (CRC Does not Match) I:\Program Files\Take On Helicopters\AddOns\United_States_h_data_layers_01_01.pbo I tried again and got the same. Skipped it and got layers_02_02 error same message. Has anyone had the same experience and is there a patch/fix please:( Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I got it from Simware Simulations in Belgium. I have Windows XP a dual quad core processor, 4gb of ram and 1gb video card, and I was installing it from a Sony dvd drive. My PC has two drives. A C drive where the OS and my data lives, and an I drive for FSX and TOH. There is plenty of room on the I drive, 300gb free at least. Baxter 10 Posted December 6, 2011 Fixed my own problem by:- Unplugging my DVD drive from my USB hub and plugging it in directly to the PC. Cleaning both DVD's before having a third attempt at installing. Now up and running thanks:yay: Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

JohnBanks 1 Posted December 8, 2011 I have the same problem! Got 3 CRC error messages and when i tried to start the game i got another error message and the game refused to start. I am no trying to install it with all files copied to my HDD. I got my Copy from Amazon. It's the Just Flight Version. ---------- Post added at 07:56 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:17 PM ---------- No luck! I am still getting CRC errors, but this time for different files. JohnBanks 1 Posted December 9, 2011 I did.. It didn't work. I still had CRC errors but with different files. I tried something else which finally worked. I lowered my overclocking to almost default values and used the auto swapfile. I have read that suggestions in another thread. A guy wrote that the installer for ARMA is a shitty as this one here and that he always has lower the clocking. And that really worked. I could install via DVD. Only problem now is, that with the new patch, the game constantly crashes which the demo never did! And the settings are weird now too. In the demo, i could set the texture detail to very high whereas the memory usage could be left at normal, what is recommended. Now..both settings are linked..they are always equal.
