fboes 10 Posted November 17, 2011 (edited) I just recently switched the HUD off, so now I have to keep guessing where the wind is coming from. How about this: - Wind moves trees (the direction the tree is beding to is the wind direction, and the sharper the tree bends the more force the wind has :) ) - Wind moves smoke (like smoke from chimneys and so on) - Wind changes the direction and force of waves (if you see foamy waves, you know there is lots of wind) P.S.: I know that from the technical point of view this will cause massive CPU / GPU load. But never mind… :) Edited November 17, 2011 by fboes
beepee 10 Posted November 17, 2011 The wind already moves the smoke and dust.
fboes 10 Posted November 17, 2011 Uh, it does? Hehe, never mind. But there is not enough smoke around. :)
jumpinghubert 49 Posted November 17, 2011 since the first beta the wind direction is seen in moved -clouds -trees -smoke & dust. You will see it IF you play the game.
fboes 10 Posted November 18, 2011 @JumpingHubert: Hmm, is it a question of GFX settings? Because my trees do not move. ;) The only smoke I see is the dust I generate when hovering - my idea was more like chimneys generating smoke. And clouds do not count - they are way to slow to show any kind of wind direction.
